Tate's POV

It's been a couple weeks since KK's game, and things have been going good; we've texted a couple times and even hung out at her place or mine, but like I can't shake the feeling that she sees us as just friends, like her being my "celebrity crush" is just a joke.

KK's POV

"So," I say through a mouthful of waffle fries. "How was your practicy-dance thingy today,"

"Good," She laughs, covering her mouth as she does so. Maybe I should have too, oops. "How was your practicy-skate thingy today,"

"Oh, so you're mocking me now?" I ask teasingly, tilting my head and furrowing my eyebrows.

"I would ne-" But Tate's cut off by someone coming to our table. Well, not really someone, more like some people. A group of 3 girls, about 15 years old, stand in front of us, smiling and waving phones in our faces. Shit, one got a picture of us together.

"Hey!" I say brightly, trying to distract from the fact that we look like we're on a date together.

"OhMyGoshWe'reSuchBigFansKKLikeWeLiterallyLoveYou," One of the girls starts rambling on and on about me, seeming like a never-ending run-on sentence. Quickly, I stop her, suggesting we take a picture and then introduce them to Tate.

"This is my friend," I point to her as she waves uncomfortably. I could be seeing things, but Tate looks a little more uncomfortable than usual around fans. Maybe she's just not used to mine? "Tate,"

The girls smile, obviously not interested at all, but coincidentally, I'm not interested in them! Apologizing and wishing them goodbyes, I slowly but surely get them to leave our table, relaxing when it's just Tate and I again.

Tate's POV

Just her friend?

heyyyy! so how did we like?? sorry this chapter was so short, i made the last one a little longer for you guys, promise the next one will be a little longer though. anywayssssss may or may not have a new story idea for you guyssssss. its a little similar to the paige story i wrote, but i plan on differing it. she would be a hockey goalie. lmk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also... i feel like this is gonna be one of my shorter stories, ill try to make chapters long, but overall, it's gonna be pretty short. maybe like 12 or 15 chapters? but thank you always and please remember to vote and add to your library so you don't miss updates!! ❤️L
