Two days later, Emma found herself alone in the office late at night. Alexander had left for a business meeting, and she was finishing up some last-minute reports. The office was eerily quiet, and she tried to focus on her work, but the events of the past few days kept replaying in her mind.

Suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door. Emma looked up, startled. She wasn’t expecting anyone. Slowly, she got up and opened the door to find a young woman standing there, her eyes wide with fear.

"Are you Emma Collins?" the woman asked, her voice trembling.

"Yes, I am. Can I help you?" Emma replied, her confusion growing.

The woman looked around nervously before stepping closer. "My name is Sarah. I’m Claire's sister. I need to warn you... You don’t know what you’re getting involved in. Alexander... he’s not who you think he is."

Emma’s blood ran cold, her heart pounding in her chest. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Sarah glanced over her shoulder, as if making sure no one was listening. "There are things about his past—things that he’s hiding. Claire tried to tell me, but no one would listen. You need to be careful, Emma. He’s dangerous."

Emma stared at Sarah, her mind reeling. Alexander? Dangerous? It didn’t make sense. But the fear in Sarah's eyes was real, and it sent a chill down Emma's spine.

Before she could ask any more questions, Sarah turned and hurried away, disappearing into the night. Emma stood there, her hands trembling as she closed the door. What was she supposed to do now?

She had trusted Alexander, had started to believe there could be something real between them. But if what Sarah said was true, then everything she thought she knew was a lie. And if Alexander was hiding something, Emma needed to find out what it was—before it was too late.
