Part 24: Miraculous SMOKE & MIRRORS

Intro to the story...and some context:

Greetings one and all! My name is Aloubell and you are probably confused as to why the title claims this is "Part 24" when it's the first entry on this site? WELL Bonds Beyond Fate started out initially as a one off analysis video of the Origins episodes of Miraculous Ladybug. But then I made a couple follow-up videos that I wasn't expecting, and before I knew it, I had an audiobook on my hands.

On my YouTube channel The Artistic Aloubell are the first 23 parts of this story. Since I didn't plan from the beginning for this to be a story, it wasn't structured as a narrative, prose, or anything of the nature. That, and since I never saved the scripts, I couldn't have uploaded the other parts on here even if I wanted to.

Last time on Bonds Beyond Fate, Marinette's classmate Kim had been akumatized into the villain Professor Jinx who had the power to make things fail by shooting them with a red F. While he was distracted abusing his powers, Marinette hid and tried to form a plan on how she could properly handle the situation as Ladybug without giving away her secret identity. She called on Rena Rouge for help. Ms. Bustier in the meantime attempted to confront Kim and get him to stand down. But when Kim targeted her for a lethal attack, Marinette stepped in to defend her. This, however, was in vain as the two ladies were at his mercy. Fortunately, before disaster could strike, "Ladybug" and "Cat Noir" stepped in to save the day.

This was their only chance to escape.

Kim was distracted by "Ladybug" and "Cat Noir." He stood there, stunned before the heroes as he processed the ruse.

Marinette helped her teacher onto her feet, making sure to support her steps forward since the F on her could trip her up at any time.

First hiding within a concealed hallway, Marinette managed to covertly slip into one of the empty classrooms with Ms. Bustier and laid her down gently before making her way back out into the fray to help out the other teachers who had been attacked.

It took a few minutes, but she managed to help them into other classrooms that were out of the way.

"Just in case anything happens, stay closer to the back wall and don't try to do anything," she told them.

"Young lady, you should hide here with us! Don't go back out there!" They pleaded as she ran towards the door.

She stopped to turn back to them with a wide, comforting smile. "I'll be safe, I promise!" She then left them without saying another word.

Staying out of the ensuing conflict and banter for now, Marinette sneaked back to the classroom with Ms. Bustier and shut the door behind them.

Leaning her back against the door, Marinette let out a deep sigh of relief as her body melted to the floor into a sitting position.
