Black stood in the heart of the darkened chamber, the flickering shadows cast by the few dim torches making the stone walls seem alive. The air here was thick with the weight of power, power that hummed in his veins, dark and consuming. He smiled faintly to himself, a cruel twist of his lips as he examined the glowing orb before him, its surface pulsing with eerie light.
Inside the orb, Tuxy’s aura swirled like a trapped storm, his energy crackling in Black’s grasp. Black traced the air above the orb with his fingertips, feeling the immense power locked within. This was just the beginning. Soon, Tuxy’s strength would fuel something much larger, much darker.
Footsteps echoed behind him, and Black turned slightly, his gaze cool and calculating as he saw Tbh approach. A smirk tugged at the corner of Black’s mouth. Tbh, his faithful puppet, was playing his role perfectly—just as Black had planned. The fracture of trust between Blaza and Tbh was working in his favor, and Blaza had no idea how deep the betrayal truly went.
"How did it go?" Black asked, his voice low, almost bored, as he flicked his eyes to Tbh.
Tbh’s face remained neutral, calm as always. "Blaza still doesn’t trust me fully, but I’ve planted enough doubt. He’s questioning everything."
"Good," Black murmured, turning back to the orb. "He’ll need to believe you—at least for a little while longer."
Tbh said nothing, but his gaze flickered toward the orb for a brief moment. Black didn’t miss it.
"You don’t approve of what’s happening to Tuxy, do you?" Black’s voice was cold, yet there was an amused glint in his eyes as he watched Tbh’s reaction.
Tbh hesitated, his jaw tightening almost imperceptibly before he responded. "I didn’t expect this," he admitted, his voice quiet. "But I’ll do whatever is necessary to protect Blaza. As long as he’s safe."
Black’s grin widened. "As long as he’s safe." He mocked the words, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "And that’s what makes you so useful, Tbh. Your foolish loyalty to Blaza blinds you to the bigger picture."
Tbh’s eyes darkened, but he said nothing. Black’s grin faded, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Don’t forget who holds the leash here. Your precious Blaza wouldn’t last a day if you defied me. Everything you’ve done, all the lies you’ve told, have been for nothing if you fail now."
Tbh’s fists clenched at his sides, but he stayed silent. Black’s control over him was unshakable, bound by threats that held the weight of truth. Black reveled in the power he held over the boy, the strings he pulled so easily.
He stepped closer to the orb, his eyes glowing with a malevolent light. "Tuxy’s aura will give me the strength I need to finally break the barriers between this world and the void. Once his energy is drained, I’ll tear open a rift so vast that no one—not even Blaza—will stand in my way." His voice was sharp, like a blade cutting through the air. "You’ve seen only a fraction of my power, Tbh. When the void opens, reality itself will shatter."
Tbh’s eyes narrowed, his voice betraying his concern. "And what happens after that? The void will consume everything. There won’t be anything left to rule."
Black let out a dark chuckle, stepping closer to Tbh. "You think I care about ruling this world?" he asked, his voice laced with venom. "I want it all to burn. Chaos, destruction, everything reduced to nothing. Only in the void can I be truly free, without the limits of this mortal realm."
Tbh stiffened, his eyes locked with Black’s. "And what about me? What happens to me when you’ve finished tearing everything apart?"
Black’s smile faded, his gaze piercing. "You? You’ll have served your purpose. I’ll let you decide your own fate when the time comes. Perhaps you’ll choose to fall into the void yourself, or maybe…" His voice trailed off as he gave a dismissive wave. "It won’t matter. In the end, you’ll be just another forgotten piece of this broken world."
Tbh’s heart pounded in his chest, but he masked his fear with a calm exterior. He had to play this game carefully. One wrong move, and Black would destroy everything he held dear—including Blaza. For now, he had to continue the charade, to keep Blaza close while slowly unraveling Black’s plan from within.
"Blaza still thinks I’m on his side," Tbh said, forcing the words through clenched teeth. "He won’t suspect me when the time comes."
Black turned his attention back to the orb, his expression one of satisfaction. "Good. Keep him close. Make him believe that you’re still his friend. When the time is right, we’ll break him—and when he’s broken, his aura will be mine as well."
Tbh’s stomach twisted at the thought, but he nodded, hiding his true emotions behind a mask of obedience. He couldn’t afford to slip—not now, not when the stakes were so high.
Just as Black was about to speak again, the room trembled slightly, the faintest shudder passing through the walls. Tbh stiffened, his eyes darting to the shadows beyond the torches. Black’s gaze, however, remained fixed on the orb, unbothered by the disturbance.
"Don't worry," Black muttered, a dark gleam in his eye. "That’s just the beginning. The closer we get to draining Tuxy, the more unstable things will become. This world is already crumbling—Tuxy’s energy will only hasten the process."
Tbh remained silent, his mind racing. Blaza’s face flashed before his eyes, the trust still lingering there, though now fractured. If Blaza knew the full extent of what was happening... But Tbh couldn’t let himself think about that. Not yet. He had to stay focused on the plan, even if it meant deceiving the one person who believed in him.
The flicker of torchlight caught something else in the corner of Tbh’s vision. A figure stood just outside the chamber’s threshold, barely visible in the dim light. Tbh’s heart skipped a beat, but he kept his expression neutral, hoping Black hadn’t noticed.
"What is it?" Black’s voice was sharp, sensing the tension.
Tbh turned slowly, looking toward the entrance. "Nothing," he lied smoothly. "I thought I heard something."
Black chuckled darkly. "Paranoia suits you, Tbh. Keep that edge—it’ll serve you well in the coming storm."
As Black returned his attention to the orb, Tbh allowed himself a glance toward the shadows. The figure had disappeared. Was it just his imagination, or had someone been watching?
