Lena’s POV:
I was at the airport, feeling a bit confused. I didn’t know if I should go on my own or wait for someone. I decided to wait since I had no idea where to go. As I stood there, my eyes caught sight of a man. He was dressed in a black suit, with black sunglasses and shoes, holding a banner that had “Park Lena” written on it.I waved at him, and he briefly glanced at me before turning around and walking out of the airport. I was confused at first but then decided to follow him. We reached a car. He sat in the front seat, and I got in the back.
Lena: "Hey?"
Man: "Don’t you remember what the boss said?"
Lena: "He didn’t say anything."
Man: "He texted you."
Lena: "Oh, so that was him."
Man: "I’ll drop you near the interview hall. It’s not at the company or mansion because they don’t want to take any risks."
Lena: "If they’re going to such lengths, this position must be important."
Man: "Being the personal secretary of the mafia boss isn’t a small thing. Now keep quiet."
Lena: "Rude."
He started driving, and I gazed out the window, watching the streets of Seoul pass by. I had always dreamed of living in Korea with my dad, but now I was here... without him. Instead, I was with his murderer. The thought of my dad made tears well up in my eyes, and I found myself thinking about Aunt CL too.
Man: "We’re here."
Lena: "I don’t see any hall."
Man: "Of course, I’m not dropping you off right in front of it in this outfit."
Lena: "Huh?"
Man: "You need to change first."
He handed me a bag.
Man: "You’ll take a taxi to the hall once you’ve changed."
Lena: "Where am I supposed to change?"
Man: "Over there, in that McDonald’s. Use their restroom."
Lena: "It’ll be embarrassing to just use the restroom without buying anything."
Man: "What?"
Lena: "I’ll buy something too."
Man: "Whatever. Go. I’ll call a taxi for you."
Lena’s POV:
I took the bag and went inside the McDonald’s. I ordered a small burger and told the cashier I’d be using the restroom. I changed into the suit, picked up my burger, and paid for it. As I left the McDonald’s, I saw the man standing next to a taxi. I walked up to him.Lena: "Alright, I’m heading out—"
Man: "Wait."
Lena: "What?"
Man: "Give me your phone."
Lena: "Why?"
Man: "They’re going to check your contacts."
Lena: "Oh no, I have the boss’s number."
Man: "Exactly why I’m taking your phone. Here, use this one. It only has Laila’s number and a few of your other friends."
Lena: "How did you get their numbers?"
He smirked and took my phone, but I yanked it back.
Man: "Now what?"
Lena: "Hold on, let me delete my personal data first."
He rolled his eyes under his sunglasses, but I could feel his irritation. After a few minutes, I handed him my phone and took the replacement. Then I got into the taxi.
