niall

i walked into the new record store that was a few blocks from my flat. it seemed so different from all the other main stream record stores that only sold CDs. this place had actual vinyls. the records were lined on racks in aisles. the music over the radio was a song i recognized. take a bottle, shake it up. break the bubble, break it up

i turned a corner to find a man standing at the rack restocking CDs. he was swaying his hips to the song really into it as he sang along. he was tall, taller than me at least. he had long curly hair that was pushed back from what i could tell was a bandana. pour some sugar on me. he turned around and seemed surprised to see me staring at him. i just gave him a smirk really amused with his dance moves.

"hey." i said. he had stopped dancing and turned shy.

"hi there. did you see that?" he asked. i nodded answering his question.

"how much of it?" he asked.

"enough of it. nice moves." i said. he shyly chuckled.

"i'm masculine, i promise." he said. i chuckled. "so, do you need help finding something?"

"nope, i'm just browsing." i answered not moving from my position. he shifted uncomfortably under my stare.

"what are you doing?" he asked. i looked him in the eyes. his lovely green eyes.

"just browsing." i replied. i took a step towards him causing him to take a step back. i reached around him and grabbed the album i had been looking for. Hotel California by The Eagles. i showed it to him and ignored the sigh of relief that came from him.

"do you want me to ring that up?" he asked.

"sure." i said. he put down the crate of CDs and records before walking out of the aisle. i followed behind him to the front register. he got behind the counter and i handed him the record.

"so, you're more a vinyl person?" he asked to fill the silence.

"music sounds better on a record." i said.

"i agree." he said handing me back the record after i paid for it.

"thank you. bye harry." i said before leaving the store.
