niall

"harry! harry! guess what? guess what?" i yelled exploding into his space bubble. he cringed but managed to smile as i clung to his arm. his long brown hair was pulled into a tight, bun.

"what's up, niall?" he asked me in his intrigued tone of voice.

"so there was this really attractive person and i actually talked to them." i said excitedly thinking about the girl i had met.

"that's great, niall." he replied to me with a smile on his lips.

"yeah but the best thing is that she agreed to go on a date with me!" i said nearly squealing. harry froze but then he grew less tense. while his lips were smiling, his eyes were not.

"what's wrong, harry? i thought you'd be happy for me." i questioned finally letting him go. i took a step away from him to observe his body language.

"well, i just hope you don't get attached too quickly." he said softly. i smiled once again realizing he just had my best interests in mind. i bent over and hugged him.

"i'll be okay. i'm tougher than i look." i said while giving him gentle punches. he just pulled me down next to him and laid his head on my shoulder. i took out his hair tie and combed my finger through his hair.

the room was quiet except for our breathing. sunlight streamed through the window dancing on reflective surfaces, brightening the room. and we were okay and sat in the comfort of each other for the rest of the day.
