Hyunjin sat on the plush couch in Felix's spacious living room, the soft light filtering through the large windows giving the space a warm ambiance. He fidgeted slightly, glancing around the room, still getting used to the lavish surroundings of the Lee family's headquarters. Felix was sitting across from him, leaning forward, a playful smile dancing on his lips.
"So, Hyunjin," Felix started, his tone casual but his eyes sparkling with mischief. "What do you think of the place? Pretty nice, right?"
Hyunjin nodded, a shy smile creeping onto his face. "Yeah, it's... amazing. I've never seen anything like it."
Felix chuckled, his gaze lingering on Hyunjin's face. "You know, I can't believe you're actually going to be working here. It's like I have my own personal bodyguard now. I must be the luckiest guy alive."
Hyunjin's cheeks flushed at the compliment, and he looked down, trying to hide his embarrassment. "It's just a job, Felix."
"Just a job?" Felix echoed, leaning back in his seat with a teasing grin. "Come on, you know you're more than that. Look at you! You're going to be the hottest bodyguard in town."
Hyunjin's heart raced at the compliment, and he couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh. "I don't know about that..."
Felix moved closer, resting an arm casually on the back of the couch, the subtle shift in his posture making Hyunjin acutely aware of their proximity. "Oh, come on. You have to admit, you're pretty captivating on stage. I'm surprised you don't have a line of admirers outside the club waiting to get a chance with you."
Hyunjin swallowed hard, his heart thumping louder at Felix's teasing tone. "It's different in the club..."
Felix leaned in slightly, his eyes locked onto Hyunjin's, sending a thrill down his spine. "What's different? You get to flaunt your stuff and make people fall at your feet. Sounds pretty powerful to me."
"I don't like being treated like an object, Felix," Hyunjin admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. The heat from Felix's gaze made it difficult for him to maintain eye contact.
Felix's expression softened, his teasing demeanor shifting to something more sincere. "I get that. But I see you for more than just a pretty face, Hyunjin. You're smart, capable, and there's something about you that draws people in. You deserve to be treated right."
Hyunjin felt his cheeks heat even more at Felix's words, the sincerity mixed with the underlying flirtation making him feel flustered. "Thanks, I appreciate that."
Felix grinned, a mischievous glint returning to his eyes. "But I have to admit, the blushing thing looks good on you. Makes me want to tease you more."
With that, Felix reached over, brushing his fingertips lightly against Hyunjin's arm. The touch was electric, sending a rush of warmth through Hyunjin as he fought to suppress the blush creeping across his cheeks. "See? You're blushing again," Felix said, leaning back with a smirk, clearly enjoying the effect he had on Hyunjin.
"Stop it," Hyunjin muttered, trying to sound annoyed but failing miserably as a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
Felix leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand, feigning a serious expression. "What if I don't want to? You're too cute when you're flustered. It's hard to resist."
Hyunjin felt the heat rising again, but he couldn't help the smile that broke free. "You're really something, you know that?"
Felix laughed softly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I try my best. Just wait until you see how serious I can be when it comes to protecting you."
As they exchanged playful banter, Hyunjin felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, the connection between them growing stronger with each teasing remark and gentle touch. He couldn't deny how much he enjoyed Felix's company, even if it made his heart race in ways he hadn't anticipated.
Hyunjin stood at attention in the lobby of the Lee family's skyscraper, his posture rigid and focused as he waited for Felix to arrive. His first official day on the job as Felix's bodyguard had arrived, and although he'd been mentally preparing himself for this moment, nerves still fluttered in his stomach. This was unlike anything he'd done before — he wasn't just protecting anyone, but Lee Felix, the mafia heir.
The elevator doors opened with a soft ding, and Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat as Felix stepped out, looking effortlessly stylish in his dark tailored suit. He walked with confidence, every step exuding the authority he commanded, but as soon as his eyes landed on Hyunjin, a teasing smile curled on his lips.
"Look at you, already in position. I like it," Felix said, his voice carrying that smooth, flirtatious tone Hyunjin had grown used to. "But don't look so stiff, it's just me."
Hyunjin's cheeks flushed slightly, but he straightened his stance, determined to remain professional. "It's my job, Felix."
Felix grinned as he approached, standing just inches away from Hyunjin now. "Right, sir when I'm at work, isn't it?" His eyes gleamed with playful mischief as he stepped closer, almost too close for comfort. "Or would you prefer something a little more casual?"
Hyunjin swallowed, trying to keep his composure. "Sir works fine."
Felix chuckled softly, leaning in just enough to make Hyunjin's heart race. "Good boy. I like it when you follow the rules." With that, he stepped back, the teasing air fading as his expression grew more serious. "Alright, we have a meeting in the city. You're with me all day. Ready?"
Hyunjin nodded, shifting gears into a more focused mindset. "Yes, sir."
As they made their way to the car, Hyunjin opened the door for Felix, catching the approving nod from Felix as he slid into the passenger seat. Once they were on the road, Hyunjin sat in the back with Felix, keeping an eye on their surroundings.
"You're quiet today," Felix commented as they cruised through the city. "Nervous?"
Hyunjin shook his head, though the truth was he still felt a little on edge. This was new territory for him, and he didn't want to mess up, especially not in front of Felix. "Just focused on the job."
Felix smirked, turning in his seat slightly to look at him. "I like that. But don't be too hard on yourself. I'm not expecting you to tackle anyone on the first day, you know."
Hyunjin couldn't help but smile at Felix's teasing, though he quickly stifled it, reminding himself to stay professional. "I'll do whatever it takes to protect you."
Felix's gaze softened for a brief moment, his usual playful demeanor fading. "I know you will."
They arrived at the high-rise where Felix's meeting was set to take place. Hyunjin immediately scanned the area as they exited the car, his instincts kicking in. As they walked inside, Felix kept a casual stride, but Hyunjin could feel his watchful eyes on him, as if testing how he handled his new role.
During the meeting, Hyunjin stood close by, observing everyone and everything in the room. Felix was confident, handling business matters with the kind of calm authority that made it clear he was in control. Every now and then, Felix would glance in Hyunjin's direction, giving him a subtle nod or a small smile.
As the hours passed, Hyunjin found himself growing more comfortable in the role. Felix's presence had a strange way of both calming him and keeping him on edge. He was drawn to him, but he knew his focus had to remain on the job.
Once the meeting concluded, they made their way back to the car. Felix let out a small sigh, leaning back in his seat. "Not bad for the first day, huh?"
Hyunjin couldn't help but smile as he relaxed a little. "Not bad at all."
Felix turned to him, the teasing look returning to his eyes. "You did well today, Hyunjin. But remember, work or not, you still have to follow all of my rules."
Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat, and he knew exactly what Felix was referring to. He felt a blush creeping up his neck as he nodded. "Yes... sir."
Felix's smirk widened, clearly enjoying the reaction. "Good boy."
