Jungkook's POV:
I was just stepping out of the door when I heard the sound of her crying coming from the bathroom. I paused, my eyes widening as I recognized the sound. I couldn't remember the last time I heard her cry, which surprised me. I stood there for a moment, torn between going back in and comforting her or leaving and letting her cry it out alone. My heart ached as I stood outside the door, listening to the sound of her crying. I knew I should go back in and comfort her, but I hesitated.
After a few moments, I couldn't stand it anymore. I took a deep breath, my mind made up, and I slowly opened the door.---
Y/N POV:
I heard the door open and close, signaling that he left. I slumped down against the wall beside the door, my emotions finally breaking free. The tears I'd been holding back poured down, my body trembling as I sobbed quietly, trying not to make noise but failing. It was all too much. My mind was spinning from the whirlwind of emotions, and the sobs kept coming, even though I tried to muffle them.
Suddenly, a knock echoed through the bathroom, and I flinched.
---
Jungkook's heart clenched tighter as her soft cries pierced through the door. He knocked again, his voice gentle. "My little one," he called softly, "open the door. Let me in."
Her silence only deepened the ache in his chest. He pressed his forehead against the door, frustration simmering. "I know you're in there. I can hear you crying. Let me in. I won't hurt you."
When no response came, his patience began to wane. His voice dropped, becoming more authoritative. "I won't ask you again. Open the door."
Inside, there was nothing but the sound of muffled sobs. His jaw tightened, knowing she wasn't going to make this easy. "If you don't open the door, I'll break it down."---
Despite his ultimatum, there was no sound of movement. The silence only fueled his frustration. "5... 4... 3..." He started counting down, his knuckles white as he clenched his fists. But her quiet sobs continued, and it broke through his anger, replacing it with something else.
He slammed his fist against the door, the echo sharp in the small space. "My little one," he tried again, his voice softer, the cold edge disappearing, "please, open the door. I won't hurt you."---
Her continued silence was testing his patience. His concern was now fighting with his anger, his instincts pushing him to force his way in. His tone turned firm again, commanding. "Last chance, open the door. Now."
A faint voice replied from the other side, hoarse but firm. "I'm alive and alright. No need to check on me. Just go and do your work. Leave me alone."
Jungkook's clenched jaw twitched. He hated when she was like this—defiant, stubborn, even in her weakest moments. "Don't push it. I don't care what you say. I'm coming in. Now open the door."
---
When nothing changed, his frustration boiled over. "That's it." He slammed his foot against the door with force. It cracked but didn't give way. Another hard kick and it burst open with a loud crash. Jungkook stepped into the room, scanning the space until his eyes landed on her small form, curled up against the wall, still sobbing softly.
His heart sank at the sight of her, vulnerable and broken, and for a moment, his tough exterior wavered.
