Chapter 84: Next Step: Promotion
Around midday.
The rest area in the lumberyard camp was bustling with activity.
A large adventurer's hall had just opened for business.
Adventurers came and went, resting and talking non-stop.
"Have you all heard? There are more troll camps to the east, but it's a bit far..."
"There are groups of seven or eight trolls there, and it's not easy to handle with fewer numbers..."
"The troll camps to the west are decent. I heard someone found over ten of them. We're planning to check it out this afternoon..."
"The information is public anyway, so let's discuss and avoid unnecessary competition..."
"There are countless trolls in the Dark Forest, and the two hundred of us can't possibly take them all down..."
"True, but the gold in hand is the only thing that matters..."
"Haha, don't just focus on the trolls. The Dark Forest is rich with magical materials and herbs too!"
"True, but those materials are scattered, and you need to meet certain standards to collect them..."
"Isn't that even better? Slow and steady wins the race. It's a long-term business..."
"I heard that the lord is planning to set up some outposts in the larger resource areas for development..."
"Yeah, I heard that too. You can apply to be stationed there and get 10% of the profits..."
"But only if you're the discoverer or a qualified adventurer, right?"
"That's great, isn't it?"
"This place is amazing. Compared to other territories, it's like a paradise for adventurers!"
"You said it!"
"..."
Adam Smith overheard these adventurers' conversations, finding them quite intriguing. What interested him even more was that despite earning considerable bounties, these adventurers were not stingy about spending their money here.
He began to understand why the lord had gone to such lengths to build an adventurer's hall here.
What really excited Adam Smith was the 2,000 bottles of Blood Revitalizing Potions in his storage belt.
Ralph had even promised him that each week, they would be able to supply no less than this amount of Blood Revitalizing Potions.
This meant that the lord, who spent money like water, could earn over 4,000 gold coins each month!
Adam Smith didn't know how the lord produced so many Blood Revitalizing Potions but guessed it had something to do with the captured trolls.
"Does this mean that the more trolls captured, the higher the potion production will be?"
What Adam Smith didn't know was that just from yesterday to today, in a span of over ten hours.
The mutated clay golem, Peak, had produced 1,000 bottles of Blood Revitalizing Potions through continuous mass production!
Every two living trolls meant 40 additional bottles of Blood Revitalizing Potions each day, which equated to an extra 10 gold coins daily!
The return on investment could be recouped within ten days!
The rate of return was terrifying!
As Matthew flipped through his spell scrolls, he glanced at the thoughtful Adam Smith, not bothering to engage in cryptic games with him, and said calmly:
