It's been a few weeks since the returning incident. We've recuperated during that time, and by that I mean Mom got her get-back during that time.

Currently, I'm on my way to my parent's house to pick up Winter to spend the day with me since my parents both have business meetings and don't want to leave her with a nanny, which I can agree with.

I thanked me for impulsive buying a car seat when we agreed on keeping her with us. That decision, made on a whim, now seems like a stroke of genius.

Pulling up to the house around 10 o'clock, I'm greeted by the unmistakable sound of yelling drifting from within. I can already tell it's my brother's voice, raised in one of his signature tantrums over something inconsequential.

This time, it's about a shirt, of all things. I let out a deep sigh, steeling myself for what was to come. Unlocking the door, I step inside, the cacophony enveloping me like a physical force.

Walking in and rolling my eyes as I pass by the commotion.  I offer them a sympathetic smile as I move past, not wanting to get drawn into the fray.

My focus is on getting to Winter, escaping this madness, and finding some semblance of calm. Going upstairs, the yelling grows fainter, replaced by the silence of the upper floor. My heart rate slowed s, and my breaths become easier. I'm almost there.

Reaching Winter's room, I gently turn the handle and push open the door. The room is still, the only sound is the soft hum of the monitor. She's likely still sleeping, the early hour and recent excitement finally catching up to her.

Opening the door wider, I step inside, my eyes adjusting to the dim light. The room is cozy, and the freshly painted walls and plush carpet are a soothing balm after the chaos below.

I take a moment to appreciate the space and the effort our parents put into creating this little haven for Winter.

Crouching down at her bed, I gently rub her back to wake her. At first, there's only stillness, and for a moment I wonder if she's even breathing. Then, a rustle of movement, a soft grunt as she stirs. My heart swells with affection and relief. Taking a moment to pack her stuff for the day.

Grabbing one of the diaper bags that mom had bottom for winter and grabbed a few pairs of clothes for her to pick from since the clothes I ordered for him were coming in the mall later.

I didn't need to grab any hygiene products since I grabbed some don't the way home yesterday after finding out she was staying with me. Also grabbed a few other essentials she might need before leaving the closet.

After gathering all of Winter's belongings I strolled back over to Winter's bed where she was sitting half asleep clutching her teddy bear. Crouching back in front of her, taking in her features I could see her face had a slight mark from sleeping along with a slight red nose.

"Good morning, lovely," I said softly, surprising myself since I haven't talked this softly to anyone since Adelio was a baby. Something about winter just makes my exterior melt altogether.

Reaching out and wrapping her arms around me to snuggle. Before leaving I made sure to grab her fluffy robe off the door and headed downstairs.

Before leaving I let Winter give Mom and Dad a sleepy goodbye to return with smothering kisses from them. Telling them and Winter would be back tomorrow. Heading out the door, and walking to my Mercedes AMG.

Opening the passenger back door Placing her in the car and putting a blanket on top of her before getting myself to head back to my penthouse.

Since it was early Wednesday morning, and people were traveling to work and school at this time there was a bit of traffic on the way back.

By this time winter was wide awake watching cartoons on her tablet. "Bubby, Im hungy." I heard from behind me as we stopped at a traffic light.

looking back to face her, "What would you like to eat, Bello?" I asked softly already knowing what she wanted which was waffles and bacon. "I wanna eat wafle and bacon please," she said looking out the window like she was pondering what she wanted to eat.

Instead of ordering I decided to put my skills to use since I already knew how to cook. Once we were in the parking garage I reached over and grabbed her bag slinging it over my shoulder, then walking around to retrieve winter. Setting her on her feet and locked the car before we headed in.
