After the showdown with the Crimson Axis and securement of the Royal Maid infiltration team, along with the spoils from the daring mission, the Azur Lane combined fleet returns to their main base, vessels of many shapes and sizes mooring at the many docks, other more damaged ships pulling into the repair yards. The small bird-like creatures called Manjuus that fill the role of base personnel get to work immediately, whole groups working together to lift toolboxes and operate equipment to fix up the damages. In one of the cranes hanging over a damaged battleship a group of 5 Manjuus work together to operate the control sticks of the crane, forming some kind of Manjuu ladder as they put their weight into moving the stick. When the pressure needed to move the stick is achieved by the team of 5 the stick shifts to the left, the sudden give making the Manjuu at the top of the Manjuu ladder somersault over it and fall on the control column with a soft thud. The small yellow bird creature shakes its head dizzily after a moment spent laying there, picks itself up, and goes to rejoin its compatriots as they continue to operate the crane.
As similar scenes occur all around the port casted in the growing darkness of night, shipgirls after ensuring their ships are docked correctly and moored depart their individual ships, ready to have some time to themselves after a rather stressful mission. But for a certain team of maids and those more in the leadership positions of the Azur Lane alliance factions, rest does not come to them yet. Whereas others take the opportunity for R&R, the leadership and maids rendezvous at the command building. The office they meet up in is one of Royal Navy design and decor, a navy blue rug spanning the whole room that bears many floral patterns on its fabric, seating in the form of maroon velvet couches, hung on the walls are quality paintings of Royal Navy vessels that capture their magnificence, and an intricately carved and polished wooden table in the middle of the seating area. On the table sits a secured container with the Eagle Union emblem on it, the white symbol contrasting against the sky blue metal of the container. Everyone in the office stares at the box, the tension clear in the air as Sheffield and Edinburgh, still clad in their Sakura kimono disguises, prepare to unveil the primary spoil from their infiltration of the Sakura Empire base. When Sheffield and Edinburgh disengage the locks the container opens up, the Black Mental Cube's glow ensuring the strange Siren device is the front and center of attention as the deep violets and blacks swirl within the cube's structure.
Elizabeth: "So, this is the device we've spent the last weeks hunting down. Excellent work, I knew you wouldn't disgrace the Royal Navy's reputation.
Queen Elizabeth sits on one of the velvet couches, her arms crossed over her chest and a pleased yet somewhat smug expression on her face, enjoying any opportunity to flaunt the efficiency and majesty of her faction. The others in the room that are not of the Royal Navy however give no reaction to her words, used to such behavior and not giving it any modicum of attention. Enterprise's gaze is focused heavily upon the swirling colors of the Siren device, staring at the cube that appears to be a dark, twisted version of the very cubes that give them life with a fierce intensity.
