S Y N O P S I S
Effie Wynters hasn't seen Lotte Vrieze in over two years. Hours of intense rehearsals across dance, singing and drama have remained a thing of the past ever since Effie moved over fifty miles away to London; physical photos of simpler times gathering dust in the memory box beneath her bed.
Approximately seven hundred and thirty days later, Effie is back in Buckinghamshire. And this time, she's promised not to commit too quickly. But when she discovers that her former-teacher is on the lookout for a student teacher, her promise is quickly broken with no second thought.
Weary from prolonged, overwhelming self-doubt and unable to push through another term of teaching without her sister alongside her, Lotte's plan is simple: find a student teacher to accompany her, keep seventy-eight children out of harm and continue to help enrich their skills, and prepare for what she hopes will be the most impressive end-of-term show to date.
With profoundly intense, extra studio time, bottled feelings slowly let loose, and dance injuries inevitable, Effie and Lotte might have just met their final match.
