Chapter 1

He'll only behave himself around you.

There he was, locked up again for nearly bashing in one of the other players' head. Strapped to the restrained bed with a muzzle over his mouth and his gaze downcast.

Shidou was used to this. Every time he'd go overboard, Ego would lock him up and leave him to reflect on his actions, only when the situation was serious you would be called in to speak with him — as everyone knew he'd only listen to you.

You entered shidou's confinement "Let me out your four eyed freak!— Yano?!" His eyes widened when he saw you, "damn it..."

You finally speak "so what happened now shidou...hmm?"

"Hmh..." He huffed against the muzzle before rolling his eyes, "the usual..." Shidou's voice was low and muffled due to the muzzle but you could tell it was rather annoyed, "just another dumb player ticked me off, is all! I was gonna end 'em!" I start to remove the straps so I can talk to him more properly "who was it?" Shidou waited and watched as you began removing the straps, his eyes following your every movement.

As you asked who ticked him off, his eyes darkened, "That idiot Rin. I just wanted to bash his head in..." when the last strap was removed the muzzle remained. I started remove his muzzle "Rin again...what did he do this time" Shidou was a lot calmer when you started removing the muzzle, his eyes watching your movement.

"He kept being annoying on the pitch and saying stupid stuff...just asked for a good ol' beatin'" I sighed "I'm guessing I'll need to speak to him and I'll try to move him if that's possible.

Shidou watched you, his expression calm but still clearly irritated.

When you mentioned speaking to Rin, he huffed softly, "just tell him to back off...or else I'm gonna explode!"

"Yeah I will" Shidou nodded as he sat up, watching you silently. He was still clearly annoyed but it seemed he was much calmer now that you were speaking with him and that stupid muzzle was removed from his face,

"Good. I don't want anymore idiots like him around me..."

"Is their anyone else disturbing you?" I asked.

Shidou paused at the question and then thought about it for a second. His expression darkened as he let out a small hum, "well...I think it's mainly Rin. He's got a major stick up his ass..."

"Oh that's just his attitude treats everyone" I say clearly annoyed too.

Shidou chuckled a bit as he watched you express your annoyance, happy that you felt the same about Rin as he did, "yeah I know, it pisses me off" He huffed, " just wanna knock him out and teach him some manners..."

Shidou huffed before his eyes widened when got an idea, "Actually...you know what I want do?"

"What?" I answered.

A mischievous smirks formed on shidou's face as he glanced at the door, "I wanna break out..." He said simply before leaning back in the bed, the smirk still on his face, "Wanna join me?"

"...I mean...I was here to release you...But I didn't say it at first...Cause I wanted to talk to you first"

Shidou's smirk widened as he watched you, he was very amused that you were willing to do such an act of disobedience for him. "Hmm~" He hummed, his eyes still watching you intently, "I guess you're right. But are you really going to do this for lil' old me?"

"Yeah, besides jinpachi said I'd be joining you guys for further data analysis. So you'll see me a lot now... but promise you won't cause trouble again...his getting annoyed with you and your behavior now..."

Shidou was rather pleased to hear that he'd be seeing you a lot more, it'd make things much more interesting around here. "Oh relax, I can't promise that I'll make sure to behave..." He smirked, "For you, of course~"

I sighed "That's good...now you should get ready to get back with the others."

Shidou sat up, pushing his hair back out of his face before getting up from the bed. He was still a bit annoyed from being locked up and from Rin's existence but now that you were here, his mood had improved a lot."Hmhm~" he hummed as he looked at you, "I guess you're right...I hope everyone missed me..."

"Charles probably did..." I say.

Shidou laughed when you mentioned Charles, "That kid needs to stop following me around." He thought that Charles was rather amusing though, he was harmless anyway.

He moved closer to the door before pausing and turning to look at you, "you coming?"

"Nah... I still gotta talk some things with jinpachi, but I'll see you later. Here catch." I throw the keycard to Shidou. "Just leave it on the door when your done."

Shidou was a little disappointed that you weren't joining him but he wasn't surprised, knowing you had duties as ego's assistant, which really sucked.

He caught the keycard that you had thrown at him, "Hm~" He hummed, still a bit unsatisfied, "Yeah alright...I'll do that. I'll see you later than."

Shidou watched you for a moment before turning back to the door, swiping the card through the slot and waiting as the door let out a small beeping sound and unlocked. He took a look back at you, giving a small, sly smirk before he pushed open the door, slipped through and let it shut behind him.
