The next day, y/n walked into her first class, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. As she scanned the room for a seat, her eyes landed on a familiar face, Yuji. He waved at her enthusiastically from across the room, a wide grin on his face.

"Y/n! Over here!" he called out, patting the empty seat next to him.

Relieved to see a friendly face, she made her way over and sat down. "I didn't know we had the same class!" she said, smiling.

"Neither did I! Looks like we're classmates now," Yuji replied with a wink. "Should be fun."

Throughout the class, they exchanged notes and whispered jokes, the comfortable camaraderie between them making the time pass quickly. Once the lecture ended, Yuji turned to her. "Wanna grab some lunch? My treat."

Y/n nodded eagerly. "Sounds good to me!"

They made their way to the campus café, chatting easily about their classes, professors, and the general chaos of adjusting to university life. Yuji's energy was contagious, and y/n found herself relaxing, grateful for the budding friendship.

As they sat down with their trays of food, Yuji grinned at her. "So, how's it going with my brother?"

Y/n groaned, rolling her eyes. "Don't even get me started. He's still as dismissive as ever. And he teased me about drinking milk like I'm a child."

Yuji laughed, shaking his head. "That sounds like Choso, alright. But don't worry, he's not as bad as he seems. Just give him time."

Y/n raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "You're way too optimistic, you know that?"

"Hey, I have to be! It's the only way I get through life," Yuji replied with a grin. "Besides, if you ever need a break from him, you know where to find me."

Y/n smiled, grateful for Yuji's lighthearted nature. "Thanks, Yuji. I'll definitely keep that in mind."

They spent the rest of lunch laughing and talking, the worries of dealing with Choso momentarily forgotten as y/n enjoyed the easy friendship she was forming with his younger brother.

After lunch, y/n went to her next class, still thinking about how fun it was hanging out with Yuji. The day passed quickly, and before she knew it, she was heading back to her dorm. The thought of dealing with Choso's cigarette smoke again made her sigh, but she hoped maybe he had listened to her suggestion about smoking by the window.

As soon as she opened the door, the familiar scent of cigarettes hit her nose, even stronger this time. She wrinkled her nose in irritation, but when she looked up, her eyes widened in surprise.

Sitting on Choso's lap, with her long blonde hair falling over her shoulders, was a tall girl. She had an easy, confident grin on her face as she took a drag from her cigarette before leaning down to pass it to Choso. They were sitting so casually, sharing the smoke like they'd done this countless times before. The girl's hand rested on Choso's chest, her fingers lightly tapping as if to a rhythm only she knew.

Y/n stood frozen in the doorway for a second, trying to make sense of the scene. The blonde glanced at her and raised an eyebrow, seemingly unfazed by the intrusion. Choso, on the other hand, barely looked her way, exhaling smoke as if y/n wasn't even there.

"Choso, seriously?" Y/n finally managed, her voice tight with frustration.

Choso's bored eyes flicked to her, and he shrugged. "What?"

Y/n gestured toward the room, incredulous. "I asked you not to smoke in here! And now you've brought—" She stopped herself, realizing she had no idea who this girl was. "Who even is this?"
