मैं कभी भूलूंगा न तुझे चाहे तू मुझको देना भुला
आदतें जैसी है तू मेरी आदतें कैसे भूलूं भला?

As Utkarsha departed from Manali, her heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces. Rutu's confession lingered in her mind, replaying in her thoughts like a bittersweet song. She had wanted to tell him she felt the same, but the promise she had made to her mother weighed heavily on her. She couldn't break it, no matter how much her heart yearned to.
Boarding the flight to Pune, her thoughts stayed with Rutu. Every memory of him-his laughter, his shy smile, the way he looked at her as if she were the only one in the world-made the pain of leaving unbearable. Tears threatened to spill, but she held them back, unsure of how to face the storm of emotions inside her.
Back in Manali, Rutu stood still, his eyes fixed on the gate where Utkarsha had disappeared. His chest felt hollow, the weight of her absence pressing down on him. The ache in his heart was sharp and constant. It wasn't supposed to end like this. Turning to Ajit, who had come to pick him up, Rutu silently walked to the car. He was heading to Mumbai, where the Chennai Super Kings awaited him for the upcoming tournament. But for the first time, the thought of cricket brought him no joy. How could he think of games when he had lost Utkarsha?
The distance between them grew with each passing moment, but neither could forget the other. They were bound by memories and unspoken feelings, and the future seemed bleak without each other.

When Utkarsha reached home, her devastated state was impossible to miss. Her parents, Sunetra and Amar Pawar, exchanged worried glances as she walked through the door, her face pale and her eyes distant.
"Uttu, what happened?" Sunetra asked, rushing to her daughter and wrapping her in a warm embrace. "You look like you've lost your world."
Utkarsha couldn't hold it in any longer. The words tumbled out as she recounted every moment she'd shared with Rutu-his confession, her silent tears, and the impossible choice she had to make. Her mother listened intently, her eyes filling with tears. Amar, too, sat quietly, his expression softening as he saw the depth of his daughter's pain.
"Then we'll call off the marriage," Sunetra said firmly, her voice trembling with emotion. "I just want you to be happy."
Utkarsha shook her head. "It's too late, Mumma. I left him in Manali, thinking I'd never see him again. He won't forgive me for walking away."
Sunetra cupped her daughter's face. "Love doesn't work that way, beta. Love is about understanding and forgiveness. If Rutu loves you as much as you love him, he will understand."
Amar spoke gently, his voice steady. "Your mother is right. A life partner isn't just someone you marry. They're the person who stands by you, no matter what. Don't let fear or promises stop you from being with someone who truly loves you."
Their words lit a spark in Utkarsha. She realized she couldn't let Rutu go-not like this. She remembered he had a flight to Chennai that very night. Her heart raced. Time was slipping away.
"I have to go to him," she said, her voice resolute. "I need to tell him everything."
Sunetra smiled through her tears. "Go, beta. Don't waste another second."
Utkarsha didn't wait. Grabbing her keys, she rushed out of the house and into the waiting car. Her hands trembled as she started the engine, her mind racing with thoughts of Rutu. Could she make it in time? Would he even listen? She didn't know, but she had to try.

At the Mumbai airport, the CSK team prepared to board their flight to Chennai. The players were in high spirits, excited for the tournament ahead. But Rutu stood apart, his shoulders slumped and his face clouded with sadness.
Mahi, always observant, noticed immediately. "Rutu, kya hua? You're not yourself today," he said, his tone gentle but probing.
"Nothing, Mahi bhai," Rutu replied with a forced smile. "I'm just tired."
Suresh Raina joined in, his usual cheerfulness evident. "Tired? The season hasn't even started yet! Come on, what's really going on?"
Rutu tried to brush them off, but the weight of his emotions became too much to bear. He finally broke, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's... personal."
Mahi placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You know we're family here, Rutu. Talk to us."
Encouraged by their support, Rutu opened up, sharing everything about Utkarsha-how they met, how she left, and the heartbreak of their parting. Mahi and Raina listened intently, their expressions soft with understanding.
"Rutu," Mahi said after a moment, "love is never easy. But if it's real, it's worth fighting for."
Raina added, "What's meant to be will always find a way. Don't lose hope, yaar."
Their words offered some comfort, but the ache in Rutu's heart remained. As the boarding announcement echoed through the airport, his heart sank further. It felt like the final goodbye.
But just as he was about to walk to the gate, something made him pause. A voice inside him whispered, What if?
And in that moment, everything hung in the balance. Could fate give them one last chance?
