Chapter 16

I wake up to the sound of voices and footsteps, I yawn and open my eyelids, now both Machi and Paku are awake, Shizu is the only one still sleeping. "Good morning" I say yawning, they look at me blinking, "what did we do yesterday?" Paku asks.

"I don't remember," I answer cheerfully. "The real question is why are we tied to a beam?" Machi moves in the ropes, "really a good question", my crooked smile appears on my lips.

The footsteps get louder and a group of people enter the building, all terribly strange. When they see us tied to the ceiling they stop and look at us, "Hello, welcome back!" I say, they shift their attention to me.

A guy with long black hair and a sword approaches, "who are you? Answer or I'll kill you", Paku sighs, I giggle and smile creepily. "Calm down Nobunaga is a friend" Machi says, as she frees herself from the ropes. Paku and I free ourselves too and jump down. I land right in front of Nobu... wait Nobunaku, Nobunata or Nobunaga? Ugh! Is that even possible! Stupid memory.

I sigh, "well I have a feeling I shouldn't be here so I'll leave", I say waving to everyone and walking away towards the door. "No, you're not going anywhere" another guy says, he's tall, blond and has no eyebrows.

I focus on him, "and who are you to stop me?" I ask as my smile slowly fades, he seems strong, it would be fun to fight him, definitely more fun than fighting Nobu-thing.

"I could tear you to pieces in less than two seconds" he replies. I don't break eye contact, "really..." my smile reappears, "then prove it". Before things can escalate Machi steps in between and Paku also steps forward. "Hold on a second, Phinks, you don't want to fight her," my smile widens and I clasp my hands in front of my chest, "Oh Machi-chan, you really think I'm so strong, how sweet!" I say happily.

"She puts a hand on my face because I got close to her while I was talking and pushes me back, I continue to smile, "No, and don't get too big for your boots, but you're definitely a pain in the ass when it comes to fighting" she says, glaring at me. I raise my arms as if to give up, "I'll take it".

"Remains the fact that you're a stranger, maybe with a little torture you'll talk" a short guy with black hair and a deadly look takes a step forward, I put a hand on my chin, he's really handsome, even though he's short his aura has a strong sense of death, it gives me goosebumps.

My smile becomes mischievous, I like him, no, wait Kumiko, you have 2 soulmates, calm down, stop it! Stop it! "If you want to try... but I warn you, I have great stamina," my smile widens. No Kumiko! Shut down! Red alert! Stop! Stop it! I soften my smile as the very attractive boy approaches, his face half hidden by a neck warmer, but I can see the hint of a sadistic smile on his features.

"Wait Feitan, she is not a threat, we went drinking yesterday and we got back here drunk, I don't even know how" Paku explains, Feitan's advance stops, yes I got his name right! He turns his head and looks at Paku, before he can say anything, more people enter the room, there are 6 of them and when they see me they freeze.

There is a very cute blond guy, a guy wrapped in bandages from head to toe, a short guy who looks like Cousin Itt, a tall, big guy with weird scars on his face, a tall guy with hair sticking out all over who reminds me of a bear and a tall guy with black hair slicked back and a tattoo of a cross on his forehead.

I smile and say hello to them too, "Oh who are you?" asks the guy with the scars. "My name is Kumiko Matsushime, very pleased to meet you," I reply with a slight bow. "So you are the famous Kumiko," says the blond guy, I nod, "Machi and Paku talk about you a lot, it's a pleasure to meet you in person," he continues, I blush slightly.I hadn't noticed it before but now that he's come closer he's really attractive.

I smile sweetly, "I didn't know I was so famous," he smiles, it's a welcoming smile, but not overly expressive, it's measured, I wonder what his real smile looks like.

"Oh, you are, I am Shalnark and these are Uvogin, Bonolenov, Franklin, Kortopi and our boss Chrollo" Shalnark explains cheerfully, "Shalnark! Why did you tell her all this, you should have asked the boss first!" Nobu-thing scolds him.

"Oh don't worry Nobu-thing I've heard of you before, I just didn't know your names and apparently I've already forgotten some of them!" I exclaim, smiling. They blink at me. Then there is a small, soft chuckle and the one who apparently is Chrollo takes a step forward.

"It's nice to meet you Kumiko, I feel like we're going to have fun with you here", Uvogin laugh very lodly and after the 'boss' has said this, everyone becomes less hostile. I chat with everyone, Machi, Paku and Shizu who has woken up, also, help me with the names.

Uvo is really a beast, but deep down he is sweet, all his actions are exaggerated and I really enjoy it, Bonolenov, Kortopi and Franklin are all very kind even if they are a bit boring, Shal is nice and calculating, but still welcoming, I am intrigued by him, I would like to see him lose his composure, it would definitely be fun.

Feitan is sometimes a bit scary, but he is definitely charming even though he doesn't talk much, his presence is not a given, I am intrigued by him, Phinks is an idiot, Nobu-thing is old and last but not least Chrollo. He is elegant and measured, he is a great leader and he is powerful, I can feel it, he is also very handsome, I am undecided whether I want to fight him or not.

I know it would be fun considering how powerful he is, but I also know that for Paku, Machi and Shizu he is very important. It's almost noon when I decide to leave, I'm about to get up, but Machi trips me, I fall backwards and since I'm lazy I don't do anything to avoid the fall, but before I can touch the ground four arms grab me.
