|AARAV|

"Aarav Deshmukh has been appointed as the leader and public face of his father's political party, while allocating 49% of his business shares to his wife, Ruhi Deshmukh," Raghav, my assistant, recounted from the latest headlines.

"What do you think I did right by naming her the second owner?" I asked, leaning back in my chair.

"Of course, sir. Everything you do is right," he replied. I stood up, taking out a cigarette. I lit it and turned toward the expansive glass window.

"What the hell is this, Aarav Deshmukh?" The figure I was expecting stepped into the room, and I turned to face him.

"You should be pleased, Mr. Sehgal. Instead of the promised twenty percent, I've designated forty-nine percent of the shares to your daughter," I said, a smirk playing on my lips.

"The deal was that you'd give it to me," he shot back, seething.

"Control your tongue," I warned, my tone icy.

"Care to explain this? How could you do that?" he demanded. I gestured for Raghav to leave and settled into my chair. He was about to sit, but I halted him.

"Stand, father-in-law," I instructed.

"How did Ruhi get caught in the middle of this?" he pressed.

"In the middle? She's the central figure in your entire scheme, isn't she?" I raised an eyebrow, challenging him.

"You promised you'd give me what I asked for," he insisted, his voice strained.

"Do you really think I'd hand over a stake in my company to you?" I questioned, disbelief evident in my tone.

"You said you would," he replied, confusion flickering across his face.

"And you actually believed me?" I chuckled, the mockery evident.

"You know I was offered a much higher price for her," he stated, his words igniting a fire within me.

"She's worth far more than you can imagine," I said, stepping closer, my grip tightening on his collar.

"Don't you dare speak of her that way. You should be ashamed of yourself, using such language about your own daughter." I shoved him back against the wall, my rage boiling over.

"Ruhi is everything to me- my strength, my obsession, my love. I'd move mountains for her, and I won't let anyone tarnish her worth, especially not you."

"I've kept quiet while she was with you, but now she's my wife-and I won't tolerate a single words against her. Get lost before I throw you out of this window." Saying I left him.

"She is not loyal to anyone and one day she will show you what she is." Saying he went out.

As I sat back on the seat closing my eyes, my mind drifted back to the first moment I laid eyes on Ruhi. It felt like a lifetime ago, yet the memory was etched in my mind with crystal clarity.

The sun had bathed the my hotel in a warm glow, illuminating her in a way that made her seem ethereal, almost otherworldly.

She had been sitting at a corner table, a sketchbook spread out before her, the tip of her pencil dancing across the page. Her dark, cascading hair framed her face perfectly, contrasting beautifully with her fair skin.

But it was her eyes that had captivated me the most-deep, expressive pools of hazel that seemed to hold a universe of emotions. In that moment, I felt a magnetic pull toward her, a connection so strong that it was as if destiny had woven our paths together.
