A/n POV :
---The days following Jin's birthday were filled with laughter and comfort, but soon, Yoongi's life took a different turn. Work at the studio began piling up, and new deadlines emerged out of nowhere. As a producer, Yoongi was used to managing stress, but something about this project was different. The client was demanding, nitpicking every tiny detail, and asking for last-minute changes. The workload was never-ending, and Yoongi found himself spending late nights at the studio more frequently, sometimes getting only a couple of hours of sleep before heading back to work.
Jimin noticed the subtle changes first. Yoongi’s eyes had dark circles beneath them, and his smiles seemed a little less frequent. He was becoming distant—more tired and less talkative. Whenever they met at the studio or went out for dinner, Yoongi seemed distracted, barely participating in their conversations.
One evening, Jimin decided to visit Yoongi at his studio. He brought along some homemade food, courtesy of Mrs. Park, hoping that it would lift Yoongi's spirits. As he walked into the building, he heard the faint sound of music echoing down the hallway. Jimin knocked gently on the door and opened it to find Yoongi slumped over the mixing console, his headphones resting on his neck. He looked exhausted, his hair disheveled and eyes slightly red.
"Hey," Jimin greeted softly, trying not to startle him.
Yoongi looked up, his expression softening when he saw Jimin. "Oh, Jiminie... What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice tinged with weariness.
"I brought you some food. I thought you might need a break," Jimin said, placing the containers on a small table. He walked over to Yoongi, gently running a hand through Yoongi’s messy hair. "You look tired, Yoongi."
Yoongi sighed deeply and leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes for a moment. "I am tired," he admitted. "This project is just... a lot. They keep asking for changes, and nothing I do seems to be enough."
Jimin frowned, his heart aching for Yoongi. He hated seeing him like this—so worn out and defeated. "You need to rest, Yoongi. You can’t keep pushing yourself like this."
Yoongi shook his head, a faint smile on his lips. "I know, but I have to get this done. There’s too much at stake."
Jimin pulled up a chair beside Yoongi and sat down. He took Yoongi's hand in his, squeezing it gently. "Listen to me. You’re doing your best, and that’s enough. You don’t have to be perfect all the time." He paused, his eyes meeting Yoongi’s. "Let me help you, even if it’s just by being here."
Yoongi looked at Jimin, his eyes softening as he took in Jimin’s sincere expression. He knew Jimin was right. He had been so caught up in his work, trying to meet every demand, that he had forgotten to take care of himself. And here was Jimin, always caring, always ready to support him.
"Okay," Yoongi said after a moment, his voice barely above a whisper. "Stay with me, then."
Jimin smiled and nodded. "Of course." He opened the containers, and the aroma of freshly cooked food filled the room. "Let’s eat first. You need energy."
They sat together, eating in comfortable silence. Jimin made sure Yoongi ate properly, occasionally feeding him bites when Yoongi seemed too distracted. As they finished, Jimin reached over and wiped a bit of sauce from the corner of Yoongi’s mouth, making Yoongi chuckle softly.
"Thank you, Jimin," Yoongi said, his voice filled with gratitude. "I don’t know what I’d do without you."
Jimin blushed slightly, his heart swelling with affection. "You don’t have to do anything without me, Yoongi. I’m always here for you."
Yoongi felt a warmth spread through his chest at Jimin's words. In that moment, he realized just how much Jimin meant to him—how much he relied on him, not just for comfort, but for a sense of peace and belonging. Jimin was his anchor, the one who kept him grounded when everything else felt chaotic.
Later that night, Jimin convinced Yoongi to take a break from work. They left the studio, Yoongi's hand comfortably intertwined with Jimin's. They went for a walk under the night sky, the cool breeze brushing against their faces. Jimin talked about random things—funny stories from the café, his brother's antics, even some silly gossip about their friends—anything to make Yoongi smile.
And it worked. Yoongi found himself relaxing, the weight on his shoulders feeling a little lighter with every laugh that escaped his lips. He pulled Jimin closer, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, and pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head.
"Thank you, Jimin," Yoongi whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
Jimin looked up at him, his eyes shining. "You don’t have to thank me, Yoongi. I love you, and I’ll always take care of you."
Yoongi's heart swelled at Jimin's words, and he realized that this was love in its purest form—being there for each other, supporting one another, and finding comfort in each other’s presence. And in that moment, Yoongi knew he wanted to keep Jimin by his side forever, through every high and every low.
He stopped walking, turning to face Jimin. He cupped Jimin’s face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing against his cheeks. "I love you too, Jimin," he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity. "More than anything."
Jimin’s eyes widened in surprise, and then a radiant smile spread across his face. He stood on his tiptoes and pressed his lips against Yoongi’s, sealing their love with a tender kiss under the night sky.
Yoongi knew there would be more challenges ahead—more stressful days and sleepless nights. But with Jimin by his side, he felt ready to face anything. Because Jimin was his strength, his peace, and his home.
And that was more than enough.
