Chapter twenty. Excited with where the story is going.
Question: What is the one food you have never eaten but want to?
Mine, believe it or not, is sushi. I have my reasons but I'll be eating it for the very first time today.

I had completely ditched my friends. We had made weekend plans and I, being my annoying self, had cancelled. Now no one had gone to the arcade.
I knew they would hit me today with questions left, right and centre. I definitely would not hear the end of it. Especially from River. He was so excited to go to that arcade and then I bailed on them.
Yep, he's going to fucking kill me.
I had been with Ajax yesterday. I had forgotten about our plans and made different plans with him. I know, I know don't even say it. Don't tell me what a bad friend I am. I am well and fully aware of it.
Currently, I had just two goals: one, was to not fall for Ajax. Been there, done that, and I most definitely was not planning on doing it again. I only wanted to be friends with him again but nothing more. No romantic feelings were to be involved.
Two, was to get rid of any existing feelings I had for Wren. I mean after that public display on the basketball court last Friday, I had no intention of going anywhere near him or forgiving him. I planned on completely erasing him from existence.
Clearly he was also ignoring me. Though in the same house, we had managed to avoid crossing paths for two days straight. I had told Michael to bring my food up to my room so as to avoid seeing him.
Yes, I had gotten just a tad bit more comfortable with having Michael around.
I was positive that if I saw his face once more, I wouldn't be able to hold back. All the cramped up emotions emotions would get the better of me and all the tears I had kept hidden would break through. That was one experience I wasn't ready to go through again.
I had just finished getting ready and was packing up the books I needed, when I heard a soft knock on the door. I immediately knew who it was. Michael was the only person in the entire human race who could knock so gently, yet loud enough for one to hear.
I yelled a 'come in' from my half-empty closet and saw his head pop in as if checking whether it was safe to come in, before confirming it was and letting himself in fully. This, I had noticed, was his habit. I was expecting him to be bringing my breakfast in but he wasn't carrying anything.
"Good morning Adam, how was your night?" He inquired as he placed his hand behind his back and stood straight as if rooted on the spot.
"It was somewhat good. And you Michael?" I turned to him waiting for his response.
"I slept well, thank you for asking."
Michael is one of those people who you know is nice even in real life, not just because his job requires him to be. Like his actions, the way he talks, the vibes he gives off... like you can just feel his warm aura and tell he is nice. He's the one person I've come to grow fond of in this big ass house.
"I would assume you're bringing breakfast but I don't see it with you." I observed.
"Yes, I would have brought it with me but not today. Your mother has asked you to join the family for breakfast." This information was news to me.
"Wait, mom and Ryan are home?" I asked, genuinely puzzled.
"Yes. She said, and I quote, 'Tell him to come down for breakfast. And tell him it isn't a request.' That's why I didn't breakfast to your room."
