Mia Jamila 👆👆Question: What's your favourite colour?
Mine is gray. That's why my first book has a gray cover. I know, minor detail but what the heck.

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, my anger dissipating and turning into pure confusion.
"I'm not going to say it twice," Wren replied, his tone dripping with the sass that I had grown to despise these last few days.
"Nick? The guy I met just hours ago?"
Wren crossed his arms, leaning casually against the doorframe, his expression unreadable. "You really want me to say it again, don't you?"
"Yes, please. Because I'm having a hard time processing that you and he..." I struggled to find the right words.
Wren's eyes hardened, his voice tight. "He's my ex-boyfriend."
My eyebrows shot up in surprise. Wren was gay? Or bi or pan-it wasn't right to assume.
"Oh," I managed to say. "I see."
"Yeah well I'm bi," Wren said curtly. "Keep up."
I sat down on the edge of my bed, trying to wrap my head around this new revelation. "Wait, but why did you guys break up?"
Wren hesitated, his jaw clenched slightly. "We had different priorities. Nick wanted something serious, and I... didn't. It got hella messy."
"So, you broke his heart?" I asked cautiously. "Omg you're a heartbreaker."
Wren met my gaze, his expression hardening further. "It's way more complicated than that, but yeah, I guess you could say that."
I sighed, feeling the weight of this revelation settling on my shoulders. Wren, usually so guarded, seemed strangely vulnerable in this moment. His emotions were palpable, his words hinting at a deeper turmoil beneath his usual aloof demeanor. That resting bitch face he usually had was gone. But it didn't last long. He went back to his normal self in seconds.
"So, what does this have to do with me?" I finally asked, trying to grasp why Wren was sharing this with me now.
Wren sighed, stepping further into my room and closing the door behind him. "He might be using you to get back at me."
I frowned, feeling a mix of annoyance and confusion, but mostly annoyance. "You think he's using me? Fuck that. I literally met him today. How could you possibly know that?"
"Exactly," Wren replied sharply. "Why would he suddenly approach you?"
I hesitated, considering Wren's words. Nick had joined me out of the blue when there were other seats available. But was it really fair to assume he had ulterior motives? Wren was making a lot of sense right now but I wasn't about to tell him that.
