Chapter 10: Embrace

The police and ambulance arrive shortly after and the nomus still alive, are incapacitated and loaded into the vans to be taken to a research facility. The number of nomus counted for were 5 but only 3 came out alive after Deku and Mirko took down one. Shoto was able to put out the fire with his ice. Mirai explained how she set off explosions blocking the pathway to the underground facility.
"You shouldn't have taken those equipments from your Mom's work room Mirai" lida said scolding his daughter. "and since you blocked the path with those explosives, it will take a while before we can dig through it".

Mirai just looked down and didn't say anything. She didn't mean to prolong the investigation, she just wanted to protect her friends. "I'm sorry Dad" she said in a soft voice.

lida just sighs and walks over to her, taking one knee down, bringing her into a hug. "it's okay, I know you meant well. I'm just glad you're okay" he said.
Mirai hugs her father back tightly and smiles. "thanks Dad" she said. She let go of her father and looked up at him. "so does that mean we don't have to tell Mom?" She asked with puppy dog eyes.
"Nope. Cause she already knows" lida said getting up. "your sos signal?".

Reiko turns to her and raises an eyebrow confused. "you sent them an sos signal" she said.
"Not intentional. It was out of impulse" she said looking down embarrassed.

Some distance away from them, Denji and Akio are both with their parents as Bakugo is scolding his son for not digging more info on the house.
"I'm sorry Papa" Akio said feeling sad.
"Yeah you should be. You put everyone in danger" Bakugo said firmly. He sighs before he walks over to his son hugging him. "but it's thanks to you, that these kids are safe. So good job" he said smiling.

Akio widens his eye a bit and hugs his father back smiling and Kirishima joins in the hug.

Some distance away from all of them, Dekiru is standing alone, looking at Deku as he talks with some police officers. Deku notices him and just stares at him confused. "he kinda looks like me, who is he" he thought to himself.

Hawks finishes hugging his son and gets up as he turns to Dekiru. "so who is this guy, is he among one of the missing kids?" He asked.
"No, his name wasn't among the files" Uravity said walking up to him.
"Maybe a new one?" Camie said as she stood beside Uravity.
"I don't know who he is, but he saved us. Well after he captured us" Tatsuo said.

All the heroes looks at him confused.
"He captured you?" Hawks asked.
"W-Well yeah I mean-" Tatsuo tried to find the words to say but he couldn't. Dekiru did help save them but it was thanks to him that they got captured in the first place.

Hawks doesn't say anything and just walks over to the boy. "so who are you and what are you after?" He said in a serious tone earning everyone's attention as they too wondered who this boy is.

Dekiru doesn't say anything and just looks at everyone.
"Huh? He can't speak?" Hawks said turning to his kids.
"He can, he is just short of few words" Mirai said.

Everyone becomes confused as to who exactly this boy is. Uravity looks at him and glances over to his chest as she widens her eyes. "Deku, isn't that your symbol on his shirt" she said pointing towards the boy.

Deku looked over to him and notices that he does have his symbol on his shirt. He stares at it confused and walks up to him "why do you have that on your shirt?" He said. It didn't look like any of his fan merch.

Dekiru doesn't say anything again and just looks at Deku blankly. Dynamight becomes pissed at this and finally walks up to him. "okay kid, you going to speak or what?" He said in an angry tone.

Everyone waits in silence to see if he'd react. He glances over at Mirai for a bit before looking back at Deku.
"My name is Dekiru, I am a bioengineered clone of the Pro Hero and Symbol of Peace Deku. Designed and gifted with powers to replicate the symbol. To replace him should he ever perish, to kill him should he ever turn away from the righteous path" he finally said in a firm tone.
