Rebuild Of Evangelion: You Have (NOT) lived

CHAPTER 7

When the Mk.09 and rei kidnap shinji, they believe the worst that is until they see unit-1, kneeling near village 3

Shinji, having made camp near the EVA, waited

"Your welcome, id recommend dounv somethibv with the Mk.06, my father will try again at some point if he hasnt already" was all shinji would say to misato, who was speechless, despite WILLE personnel pointing guns at him, he ignored them, as he simply walked away from the group towards the nearby village, kitakami was about to tell him to stop, when misato put a hand on the woman's shoulder

"I think we have hurt a fourteen year old boy enough" she said quietly, as she stared at unit-13, shocked that shinji was able to bring it to them

"He ended our world" midori said

"Because of us, because I pushed him to pilot unit-01, if it wasn't for me and asuka and all the rest from NERV forcing him to fight we would not be here, shinji has just proven it is not him we should be blaming but ourselves, when we forced a broken fourteen year old boy to protect us, it proves he is more mature then we are" misato said

"Then what should we do, misato" ritsuko asked

"Bring unit-01 to village 3, we will use unit-13 to power the wundrr, for once I want to give shinji the choice weather or not he helps us, no one is to go near or speak to him about it, i just want the option to be there, its time for us to grow up and take responsibility instead of forcing someone else to take all of it" misato said

"Understood" ritsuko said, she could tell, arguing that with misato wasn't going to work, the captain had already made up her own mind

And so WILLE had placed evangelion unit-01 in the center of the village after repairing it as much as possible, the villagers protested but only until they saw the sad look on misato's face, before departing misato removed the DSS choker from shinji's neck

"The choice is yours" was all she said, as she left him, he turned towards his old EVA and stared before walking away

"Not yet" I said quietly

"Shinji, have you heard WILLE had been engaged by gendo who seems determined to retake unit-13" kensuke said, I nodded

"Now" I said, as I walked out

"SHINJI" kensuke called, as I made my way to my camp, changing into unit-13's plugsuit before making his way to his EVA climbing the scaffolding and climbing into the entry plug as it slid itself into place and unit-01 activated for the first time in nearly a decade and a half, as it did so, there was a flash as a ring appeared on shinji's right hand middle finger, shinji smiled

"Drift gate" he muttered as an AT-field appeared before the evangelion vanished

Unit-02 was getting pummelled by the MK.09 when it went for another punch to unit-02's face, the arm was caught, and then the Mk.09 was kicked back, as unit-01 stood over unit-02 protectively

"You alright, asuka" I asked

"Shinji, you came" she said

"I grew up" I replied as i stared down the Mk.09

"Your outnumbered shinji" gendo said calmly

"Maybe, but your outgunned and outmatched" I said as the six spears materialized and began to attack the nemesis series, firing its beams or piercing the enemy units, his eyes widened as he attempted to figure out what was going on, he knew it was unit-01 but he had never seen a power like this before

Gendo watched as his entire army was ripped to shreds by a single evangelion, and he could do nothing about it, his only expression, however, was a smile

"Well played" he muttered as the spears ripped through his forces before they all targeted NERV, and he watched as they charged a beam and fired destroying the fortress and killing him outright seeing that unit-01 turned and began to walk away

"Wait, where are you going" asuka asked, unit-01 stopped as it turned towards her

"Home" I said as I continued to walk away
