The sky above was a canvas of swirling colors, the last remnants of sunlight fading into the horizon. Y/N stood on the balcony of her apartment, watching the world as it seemed to slow down around her. The cool breeze caressed her face, carrying a strange sense of anticipation. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was about to change—something big.

It had been an ordinary day in her modern life: deadlines, calls, and meetings. Yet, that nagging sensation of an unknown force pulling at her soul lingered. She glanced at her wristwatch, time slipping through her fingers like sand. The hum of the city below began to fade, and for a moment, Y/N felt the world grow quiet.

The air seemed to shift, the warmth of the day replaced by an unfamiliar coolness. Then, the sensation of falling. No sound, no warning—just a sudden, deep pull that dragged her down into an abyss of swirling mist. Her heart raced as she felt herself suspended between time and space, darkness enveloping her from every side.

When the whirlwind finally ceased, Y/N collapsed to the ground, her breath ragged and heart pounding in her chest. She lay there for a moment, the earth beneath her strangely cool and unfamiliar. Slowly, her senses returned. The sounds of distant chatter, the feel of soft grass under her fingertips, and the fragrance of jasmine and sandalwood in the air surrounded her.

The sky above was a pale canvas, the last flickers of sunlight barely illuminating the horizon. Y/N stood alone on the forest floor, a heavy feeling of disorientation clouding her thoughts. The air around her was fresh, untouched, yet unfamiliar in ways she couldn’t describe. She didn’t know how long she had been walking, but her feet ached, and her senses were overwhelmed by the quiet rustle of leaves and the occasional chirp of birds.

Her clothes, a lavender sari she didn’t recognize as her own, clung softly to her skin. She had no recollection of how she ended up here, but everything about this place felt both strange and hauntingly familiar, as though she was meant to be here all along.

Before she could collect her thoughts, the sound of murmurs and footsteps approached from behind. Turning quickly, Y/N’s eyes widened at the sight of a group of travelers emerging from the trees. The men at the front wore simple robes, but their noble bearing hinted at something more. Behind them, an older woman, regal yet weary, trailed in their steps.

The group halted as they noticed her, surprise flashing across their faces. The tallest man, with sharp, observant eyes, took a step forward, his expression cautious but not unkind. His build was strong, and though he wore the garb of a traveler, there was a subtle authority in his stance.

The older woman, with wise, motherly eyes, studied Y/N with gentle concern. She stepped closer, her presence commanding yet comforting.

“Who are you?” the woman asked softly, her voice both warm and firm.

Y/N swallowed, her heart pounding in her chest. “I… I don’t know where I am or how I got here,” she admitted, her voice trembling slightly. “My name is Y/N.”

The woman exchanged a glance with the tall man beside her before speaking again. “You are in the forests near Varnavrat. We are travelers,” she said, her tone cautious yet welcoming. “I am Kunti, and these are my sons.”

Kunti’s eyes softened as she continued to observe Y/N’s unease. “You look lost,” she said, her voice gentle with understanding.

Y/N nodded, struggling to find the words. “I—I don’t know where I belong. It feels like I’ve wandered far from any place I’ve ever known,” she whispered, her hands clenching the fabric of her sari.

The second son, lean and sharp-eyed, stepped forward, curiosity flickering across his features. “You speak as though you’ve traveled a great distance,” he remarked. “But your appearance suggests you are no ordinary traveler.”

Y/N hesitated, unsure of how to explain the disorientation that clouded her mind. “It’s… complicated,” she murmured. “I don’t even remember where I came from.”

Kunti placed a hand on her shoulder, her touch both reassuring and firm. “Whatever the reason, you are safe with us now,” she said. “Come with us. We will offer you shelter and food while we understand what has brought you here.”

Grateful for their kindness, Y/N nodded. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice filled with relief.

As they began to walk, Kunti fell into step beside Y/N. “You must be strong to endure such uncertainty,” she said kindly. “But strength is often revealed in times of trial.”

Y/N glanced at Kunti, comforted by her presence. Despite the strangeness of her situation, there was something about Kunti’s words that eased the tightness in her chest. For now, she would walk alongside them, with no answers but a sense of belonging that slowly settled in her heart.

Ahead of them, Kunti’s five sons, dressed as simple brahmins, spoke quietly amongst themselves, their eyes flicking occasionally towards Y/N, curious but respectful. She followed them, her steps steady, though the path before her remained uncertain.
