"HUH!?" I could not believe what I was hearing. And I wished whatever I was hearing to be false.

"I know I know. I'm confused too but it's the CEO's order after all. We have to follow it." Team Leader Kim said while massaging his forehead in stress.

"But, Team Leader Kim... why... why me? Why am I in charge of his meals?" I spoke in disbelief.

"He mainly gave two reasons. Firstly, you have more work experience than any of the new employees. Secondly, he liked the idea that you submitted for the upcoming project,"

Team leader Kim forgot to mention the third reason. He likes to mess with me.

"I want you to take extra care when it comes to this alright, Y/n? He's the CEO, remember."

I nodded slowly. "Yes, team leader Kim."

I don't know what he is up to. He has too many mood swings even though he is a man. Firstly, he flirted with me while lecturing me about maintaining a line of profession, then he made me work overtime, then he offered to drive me home, and in the car all of a sudden he stopped talking???

And now he wants me to take care of his meals?
Isn't he worried that I might poison his meal? Because I have every reason to.

Tsk. As you wish, Mr. Unpredictable.

"All done!" excitement was evident in my tone as I finished plating his lunch. I mentally prepared myself before I pushed the serving cart and walked out of the room.
The elevator was empty when I got on. It was quiet inside apart from the soft whirring sound as it went up.

The elevator stopped on the 23rd floor and I walked out of it, my hands firmly holding onto the handle of the serving cart.
I stopped in front of his secretary's desk.

"Is the CEO inside? I have brought his lunch."

"Yes, he is inside." He gave me a small smile as I bowed before I went inside.

I stood in front of the door, mentally preparing myself for the challenges that I was about to face. The door of his office was already enormous and it made me wonder how big his office might be.
With slight hesitation, I knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

After a few seconds, I heard him say, "Secretary Kang?"

"It's Seo Y/n, Mr. Kim. I have brought you your lunch."

There was a minute of silence till he said, "Come in."

As I pushed open the door to Taehyung's office, I was instantly struck by the sleekness of the space. His office was exactly how I imagined it to be—Dark, masculine, and minimal.
The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the city.  My eyes traveled to his desk—dark wood and impossibly neat, almost too perfect for anyone. ust a laptop, a few neatly stacked documents, and a solitary pen lay on its surface.

I wouldn't mind camping there for a day or two if I had an office like this.

I stepped further in, my heart racing, my grip on the handle tightened as I caught sight of him perched casually in his chair, one brow raised in that annoyingly charming way he had.

I stopped the cart beside his chair and lifted the big rectangular cloche covering the food. The delicious aroma immediately filled the room.
Oh, I can't wait to have lunch peacefully after this!

"Ms. Seo, could you describe what's for lunch today?"

"Yes, Mr. Kim." I continued, "Sundubu Jjigae with soft tofu and pork, a bowl of rice, as for banchan there's Kimchi, stir-fried cucumber (Oi Bokkeum), seasoned spinach (Sigeumchi Namul) and braised tofu (Dubu Jorim),"
