I want to quit smiling,
As it weighs more,
A burden pressed heavy on my lips.Tears comfort me,
While the smile,
Mocks with its hollow promises.Unbearable, I lose myself in the pain,
Each attempt to smile feels like a lie,
A mask hiding wounds too deep.Out of this misery,
I seek only mercy
From my Lord, who knows my tears. In Him, I place my shattered soul,
For it is He who heals,
When smiles become too hard to hold.
