A/N: This chapter will contain some triggering content on the subject of abuse of minors. This subject is very cruel and people often forget how many minors are affected by it. That makes it all the more important to talk about it. !It's not your fault, never! Find someone you can talk to about it and who you can confide in. You can also call a helpline that is specialized in helping victims of sexual assult/abuse, who can help you. If you have had such experiences yourself, I would recommend that you do not read this chapter. Warm hugs to everyone that had to go through such experiences, you are not alone!

Rose really wanted to know EVERYTHING. It took me almost an hour to fill her in on everything that had happened so far. Every now and then she snorted or grinned stupidly. Once again I realized how much I had missed her. After I had finished my story, I took a deep breath. Rose did the same.

"Oh dear, Izy. It's only been three months since you've been here. How can someone experience more in those three months than in a whole year?!" I smiled dreamily.

"I have no idea." My phone beeped. It was Atsumu.

Atsumu: Izumi-chan!!!! My team and I have this really important match tomorrow! Would you like to come? I can get you some tickets if you like.

I looked at Rose thoughtfully.

"Would you like to watch a volleyball game tomorrow? My cousin wrote to me." Rose tilted her head.

"Which one?"

I had to grin. "Atsumu. He plays for MSBY Black Jackals."

She thought for a moment, then her face lit up. "The one with the blonde hair?! I'm in!" I burst out laughing. Rose and her penchant for handsome men. I was still giggling when I answered Atsumu.

Izumi: Sure! Can you get me two tickets? My friends from the US surprised me with a visit and would like to watch the game too.

Atsumu: Absolutely. I will give them to your Kenma-boy, he'll be joining you guys aswell.

I read the message twice. Rose looked over my shoulder curiously and pulled a face. "Nobody can read that." Sometimes it was a good thing that she didn't speak Japanese, otherwise she would have teased me for Atsumu's message until I died of embarrassement.

Rose went back to her hotel that evening, where her parents were waiting for her. I was sad that she wasn't staying with me, but she promised me that she would stay at least once before she left. Shortly after she left, my mother came home. She spoke to me briefly, but it was only superficial topics. She asked me about my training camp and how I was doing, then she left the room to have dinner with her boyfriend. I couldn't stand the guy. His motives were clear: he wanted money. I decided to eat ramen for dinner again and boiled some water with my kettle that I had bought before my training camp. Then I sat down at my desk and turned on my PC. A notification caught my eye. KenKen is live. Join the stream now... I opened the streaming platform and entered Kenma's nickname into the search bar.

He already had around 10,000 viewers watching his stream. He was playing a new video game and talking about everyday things. Smiling, I took a picture of the screen with my phone and sent the picture to Kenma. I heard his phone make a sound. Kenma reached for his phone and a smile appeared on his face. My cheeks colored slightly. He put the phone down again. Shortly after, mine made a sound signaling a new message.

Kenma: You little stalker :) At least you show me that you're interested, that's all that matters.

Okay, now I was as red as a tomato. I put the phone down as fast as a flash and made a strange noise. I listened to his voice for a while, then closed the stream and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

A bad feeling came over me when I opened my drawer full of hygiene products. Why was everything so messed up? Someone must have rummaged through my stuff. In disbelief, I put the things back in their place and looked to see if anything was missing. I noticed that my favorite perfume was no longer there. My shower gel was only half full. I brushed my teeth and then went to my sister's room. After knocking, I went in. Hikaru was sitting at the desk. I also spotted Kuroo, who was sitting on her bed reading a book. He gave me a quick nod.

"Izumi. What's wrong?"

I closed the door behind me. "Were you touching my things in the bathroom?"

She looked at me confused. "Why would I touch that? I have my own things." I didn't believe her. "Come on, Izumi. It's not that big of a deal. Maybe mom took some of your things. Calm down. They can't have been that important." Annoyed, she rolled her eyes. "Now go to sleep. It's late and you've had a rough week."

She stood up and shooed me out of her room. I stood in the hallway in disbelief. She didn't believe me that someone went through my stuff. My heart sank into the bottom of my stomach. I heard Hikaru laughing behind the closed door.

"She's just making this up to get attention."

Anger spread through me. I hated this house so much. I hated my family. Nobody took my concern seriously. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. Who had taken my things and, more importantly, why?

------

I was woken up by a quiet thud. It was pitch black in my room. I could hear heavy footsteps in the hallway. I pulled the blanket up to my neck. Something wasn't right. Suddenly my door opened a crack. I quickly closed my eyes. The person entered my room and closed the door behind them. My breathing got faster and I panicked.

What did the person want in my room? I heard the person coming closer to my bed. My body froze. I carefully opened one eye. It was definitely a man. He muttered quietly to himself before his face came closer and closer to mine. Cold sweat ran down my forehead. Holy shit. That was my mother's boyfriend! He recognized him by his beard.

"What an innocent girl," he purred as he sucked in some air.

That was enough. I quickly got up and put as much distance between us as possible.

"What are you doing in my room?!", I screamed in terror.

The man backed away in shock. I turned on my bedside lamp and pulled my blanket up to my nose.

"Oh girl, don't scare me like that. I'm going to be your father soon, I'm allowed to take a closer look at my future daughter."

He disgusted me. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"No", I whispered.

His smug grin collapsed. "What? No? oh honey, that's the wrong answer." He came closer, reaching out for me.

I kicked him into the stomach in panic before screaming loudly. At the end of the hallway a door was thrown open. Shortly afterwards Kuroo and Hikaru were standing in my room. Kuroo was the first to realize the situation. He grabbed my mother's boyfriend and roughly pulled him out of the room.

I have had enough. I couldn't stay here any longer. My whole body was shaking. I really couldn't take it anymore. I really tried...

Hikaru looked at me. "Don't you dare say a word to Mom about this. She's so happy right now. Let her experience this love a little longer." With these words, she disappeared from my room.

I was dreaming, right? She hadn't really said that, had she? My heart was racing. I had to get out of here quickly. With shaking hands, I reached for my cell phone and opened my contact list. It took me a while to find the name. Breathlessly, I clicked on the green button.

"Hello? Izumi?" Osamu's sleepy voice reached me. I started sobbing uncontrollably.

"O-osamu. C-can you pick me up? I-I don't want to stay here any more."
