The end of summer party at Moon's mansion was in full swing, the atmosphere alive with laughter and music that spilled into the warm night air. Colorful lights danced across the spacious living room, illuminating the vibrant faces of the partygoers. Moon and Arabella were at the center of it all, lost in their own world as they danced together, their movements fluid and carefree, embodying the spirit of youth and friendship.

Cameron leaned against the sleek bar, sipping on a cold beer, feeling a bit out of place among the bustling crowd. She could sense eyes on her and, when she glanced over, she found Hawk staring from across the room. A smirk crept onto her face as she took a bold stand, raising both middle fingers in a playful yet defiant gesture before striding out of the room. She relished the moment, enjoying the way it felt to push back against Hawk's gaze.

As she stepped outside into the quieter area of the mansion, Cameron spotted her sister, Sam, standing with Robby, her ex-boyfriend, along with their friends Luna and Ryan. The sight sent a fresh wave of irritation coursing through her. "Of course you guys are here," she grumbled as she walked past them, not bothering to hide her annoyance.

"Lovely to see you too, Cameron," Ryan shot back, rolling his eyes with exaggerated sarcasm. Luna elbowed him in the ribs, shaking her head disapprovingly.

Cameron ignored them, striding further away when Arabella, having witnessed the exchange, quickly followed her out. "Cameron! Wait up!" she called, her voice cutting through the din of the party.

Cameron halted and spun around, irritation flaring as she faced Arabella. "What do you want, Bella?" she snapped, the alcohol in her system heightening her emotions.

Arabella caught up, her expression shifting from concern to frustration. "You can't just walk away like that. What's your problem?"

Cameron crossed her arms, defensive and on edge. "What's my problem? You invited our old friends here! Luna and Ryan? Sam? And Robby? It's a disaster!" Each name dripped with disdain, and she could feel her annoyance rising like a tide.

Arabella frowned, trying to keep her tone steady. "Moon thought it would be good for us all to be friends again before school starts. We've all moved on, Cam."

Cameron scoffed, shaking her head incredulously. "Really, Bella? Ever since you and Moon started dating, you just go along with everything she says! It's like you don't even think for yourself anymore!"
