Cameron stood in the Cobra Kai dojo, the air thick with a mixture of sweat and tension. She leaned against the wall, arms crossed, while Mitch animatedly recounted the chaotic fight at the arcade to a couple of other guys nearby. His voice boomed with excitement, filling the room with a sense of bravado.
"Man, it was so sick! Cameron kicked her sister's ass, Tory was just kickin' ass, and I took care of Chris. Oh! And Hawk got that beta Demetri in an armbar like Chris Jericho and just..." Mitch exclaimed, mimicking a break with exaggerated hand gestures. "Cold-blooded. No mercy," he added, his eyes sparkling with the thrill of the fight.
Cameron turned her gaze to Hawk, who leaned against the dojo wall, a smug grin plastered on his face. "I didn't think you were actually gonna do it," she admitted, her voice carrying a hint of disbelief.
Hawk froze for a moment, the weight of her words hanging in the air. "They got what they deserved for what they did to Miguel... and for taking Arabella away from you," he retorted, his tone sharper than she expected.
Cameron felt her heart clench at the mention of her best friend. Arabella had been by her side through everything, and now she was gone, leaving a void that Cameron struggled to fill. She didn't respond, instead nodding quietly, lost in her memories of happier times with Arabella.
"Still haven't seen Miguel yet, have you? And you haven't spoken to Arabella since the fight?" Hawk pressed, a look of concern crossing his features.
Cameron's stare hardened into a glare, the tension palpable between them. "I don't want to talk about it," she snapped, the frustration bubbling just beneath the surface.
Just then, John Kreese emerged from his office, his presence instantly commanding the room. "Larusso," he called, waving her over with a gesture that felt both authoritative and foreboding. Cameron hesitated for a brief moment before walking toward him, curiosity mingling with a sense of unease.
Kreese leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial tone. "I heard you comforted your sister during that fight at the arcade," he began, his words dripping with manipulation. "What was that about?"
Cameron's expression shifted from confusion to indignation. "She was having a panic attack. What was I supposed to do?" she shot back, the defensiveness in her tone unmistakable.
Kreese didn't flinch, his gaze piercing as he continued. "Larusso, where does your loyalty lie? Your sister, who you are in the shadow of, or Cobra Kai?" His words hung in the air, heavy with implication. Cameron felt a knot form in her stomach, the internal conflict stirring within her.
