All these chapters don't go with their names. I swear. Hahaha. I.. .I should fix that in the next and Scroll one. Hehe. Oh well, these ones are a bit small because I'm working on the Cole and Jay thing so yeah. That's long and angsty, so yeah. Hehe.

Kai paced around the cabin. His body hung low, and even his temperature was turned down from his typical fury of flames. 

(I should have fought more to go with) 

(Cole wouldn't be dead if you didn't want to stay at Skylor's shop longer and wait!) He paced a little faster, causing bits of smoke as he stepped on the wooden floor. His mind then soon is engulfed in smoke. His heart raced and his blood rose like wildfire flames to his head. 

(You could have done something!)

(You could have done something!) 

Kai's lip lifts as his brain spoke louder and louder, roaring 

(You could have followed him, followed Jay and ignored Wu, he isn't your dad… you didn't even help Zane when he found his bird in the mech! Or when he was attacked! Nya is hurt now!) 

(Jay clearly was having issues and you did nothing! You could have done something, help like you're supposed to!) Kai paces even faster, and breathes harder as the smoke was now in his face, blurring his eyes. 

(You asked him how he is alive! No brother does that! Awful brother, couldn't even help Nya when she walked through the door with her face all bloody!) 

Kai clenches his fist and teeth, pumping more smoke out his mouth with each rapid breath. 

“Kai?” Kai's shining eyes see Lloyd waving his arm at all the smoke. He then began coughing a little and Kai stepped back. 

“Kai?” The teen runs away, fuming more smoke as he makes it into the cold and feels the puddles around his feet soaking his jeans. More smoke bellowed from his mouth and he headed off, right past Zane and Wu. 

“Kai!?” Wu stood up and Zane looked down at the melted snow. 

“He left a trail.” 

“Let's go get Kai!” Lloyd bolts and Zane immediately drops the barrier ingredients and swiftly joins, shifting and taking Lloyd onto his back. Wu watches on and just lowers his head, covering his face with his hat. 

Kai keeps sprinting, now with his paws as he steps into more puddles and then listens to cracks as his whole body becomes soaked! He kicks his legs and paws as his snout lets out flame after flame in barks and yelps. 

The wolf pounded his paws and claws at the ice above him as his flames then melted them and sent more water upon him. In his mouth, in his nose it burned, and his eyes screwed shut as suddenly his pelt felt a pinch and his flames were again attacked by chilling torrents of water. 

It sloshed, splashed, and even gurgled as the wolf soon felt it only against his waist and then back paws. His eyes remain shut as his wet claws scratched against a cold surface. 

 

The wolf whimpers, but opens his eyes to see a black wolf… .

“Nya?” She eyes him up and down and soon licks his head as Kai notices how much bigger this wolf was than Nya. His jaw opens and the wolf's fur vanishes to reveal the face of an older woman. Her blue eyes illuminated her crow's feet, but he knew, and wagged his tail.
