"Billy...Joe...Bob..." Billy tried to fake his name, "Yeah, that's my name."
They walk together down the streets, the Sheriff's Department is on the next block. The town seems normal for now, there are no sign of gangs or bounty hunters. Milton seems carrying a bag full of papers, with his fingers all blacked out with pencil. His grey outfit all had a faded hand print and fingers.
Billy trying to start a conversation while walking, "Say, Milton. Must've rough last night, huh?"
"Oh? Yeah, overworked. Got a little...business to take care off."
Billy then notice a man in black coat, walking among the crowds. The others seems sitting around in front of a store. Billy decide to walk normally, pretending not seeing anything.
"Are you a forger, kid?"Billy ask him, "What a bad egg you are..."
"..." Milton hold his bag even tighter, "Don't bulldoze me, mutt."
Milton stare at Billy with anger, but Billy shrug it off and smile.
"Just funked you, kid. I know fellow bunko's like you."
Not long after, they reach the Sheriff's Department. Its quiet, no one seem to be on guard. The sheriffs are all just sitting in a laid back manners, except Sheriff Jameson. He goes to the front to greet Milton, while also suspiciously looking at Billy.
"Sir Milton, and who are you?""Uh...Billy Joe Bob."
Jameson rub his own nose, "You look familiar. But...it doesn't matter."
"Yeah." Milton nods, "Can we held the meeting now?"
"Sure." Jameson let Milton go inside, "Are you coming, Billy Joe Bob?"
"No. Im just...distracting the others." Billy whispered, "Gotta go."
"Don't make a mess." Jameson told him.
Billy leave the place and stand in the middle of the street, the sun shines bright on top of his head. He's observing, waiting for any assailant. However, no one seems to approach him. Civilians come and go near him, with a scent made of Sarsaparilla juice, new visitors and locals alike become one. Then a group of gangs slowly forming up from the crowds, Billy walking out from there and goes into a small hallway, leading to an empty, abandoned houses. An old man seen drinking in between the old stables, and Billy approaching him.
"Hey, Old man. Get away from'ere. Take this." He handed the old man a bag of coins, "Go buy yourself warm foods.""Thank you kindly..." the Old man struggles to wake up, until the gangs in black coat coming. Billy point his finger towards them, telling them to wait. After the old man manage to stand up, Billy lead the old man out from there and leave him be until he reach the main road.
"Just a minute, boys." Billy tapping his feet to the ground, waiting for the old man to go away. Shortly after, the old man left, he's already out of his sight.
