Pond sat cross-legged on the couch, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. Joong, Dunk, and Phuwin lounged around him, unsuspecting of what Pond had planned. He waved his phone in the air, catching everyone's attention.
"Okay, guys," Pond began, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You won't believe what I found out. Our fans-like, seriously dedicated fans-are writing fics about us."
Joong raised an eyebrow, leaning back against the armrest. "Fics? Like fanfiction?"
"Yup!" Pond nodded enthusiastically. "And they get very creative. Wanna hear one?"
Phuwin shot him a look, half-amused, half-curious. "What kind of fanfic, Pond? Don't tell me it's-"
"Exactly what you're thinking," Pond interrupted with a laugh, scrolling through his phone. "There's one where the four of us... well, let's just say it gets pretty spicy."
Dunk shifted uncomfortably, glancing at Joong, who was now fully intrigued. "Spicy, huh?" Joong asked, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Go on then. Read it."
Pond cleared his throat dramatically and began to read aloud. The room went still as he dove into the story. At first, there was mild teasing-friendly banter among the characters that resembled their real-life dynamics. But soon, the fic veered into something more sensual. The fic described Pond pulling Phuwin closer, teasing him with lingering touches, while Joong and Dunk exchanged heated glances from across the room before moving toward each other.
As the words flowed, the air between the four friends grew charged. Dunk's cheeks flushed a soft pink, and Phuwin fidgeted beside Pond, avoiding eye contact. Joong's smirk had faded into something darker, his gaze now fixed on Dunk as though considering whether the fic was planting ideas in his head.
"Uh, Pond," Phuwin muttered, his voice tight, "maybe we should stop-"
"No way, we're in too deep now!" Pond said with a cheeky grin, continuing. He described in detail how the characters in the fic ended up recreating the tension that was now palpable in the room-soft whispers, hands trailing over skin, lips brushing against necks. Pond's voice softened, but his tone was playful as he read the final scene where all four characters finally gave in to their desires.
When he finished, the silence that followed was thick. No one said a word, but the atmosphere had shifted. Joong's hand rested casually on Dunk's thigh, while Phuwin shifted closer to Pond without even realizing it.
"So," Pond said, glancing around with a mischievous grin. "Thoughts?"
Phuwin finally looked up, his eyes meeting Pond's. "I think... we might need to recreate that one day."
Dunk's eyes widened, his gaze darting between the others, but he couldn't suppress the tiny smile forming on his lips. Joong leaned into Dunk, his voice low. "I'd be down to see how accurate that fanfic is."
Pond burst out laughing, pulling Phuwin into his side. "I knew you guys would be into it! Maybe the fans are onto something."
The room was still thick with tension, and Pond's laughter only seemed to heighten it. Phuwin, despite his flushed cheeks, couldn't help but lean into Pond's side, his heartbeat racing as the fic's imagery played in his mind. He'd never thought about their dynamics like that, but now it was hard to unsee it.
Dunk, on the other hand, was doing his best to act nonchalant, but the way Joong's hand casually rested on his thigh sent a shiver down his spine. He swallowed, trying to find his voice.
"So... we're really not going to talk about how weird this is?" Dunk asked, his tone light but the flicker of curiosity in his eyes betraying him.
Joong chuckled, squeezing Dunk's thigh a little, the simple gesture making Dunk's breath hitch. "Is it though? Seems like the fans just picked up on something we didn't notice before."
