The next day found me dragging my feet. Not much sleep was able to be achieved with my thoughts surrounding those memories. 'Mistake' just echoing in my sleep. The mouse actually said he heard me say that in my sleep once, to which I denied. But he cooked breakfast, made some for me ironically. Still keeping up the appearance I assume.
Eventually found ourselves on the rode back to UA, no questions came out of his mouth. A welcome change given my mind was focused on other things, especially because it was finally hitting. It dawned on me that this was my new life: Hiding from the HPSC... by pseudo-working for them, living with the president of a hero college, dealing with a school sized element that hates my existence, and all of this on top of my prior issues... 'Just fucking peachy...'
Nezu: "Today's classes are going to be calmer than yesterday. Although I need to tell you, the teachers are having a meeting to discuss yesterday's issue..."
Me: "Which issue?"
Nezu: "The fact that two students were harmed in ways they didn't see and a third that was found naked; All of which were found in proximity to you."
Me: "A huh... and you're telling me this because?"
Nezu: "Because this will possibly drag you into the meeting, and a few teachers want answers."
Me: "The ones whom have apprehension to my being at this school."
Nezu: "Well, suffice to say all of them..."
Me: "But not you or Aizawa."
He looks over for a few seconds, and almost smiles. But given the subject it was short lived.
Nezu: "Well if nothing else, you prove to be quiet intuitive. But yes. I will try to hold them off, but-"
Me: "I will be happy to come before them. You already defend and hide me enough. Best not use your trump card on EVERY subject. Less they become aggravated at your leadership."
Nezu: "You say this as if you've seen this situation play out. But the question I need answered or else my curiosity will not cease, why are you willing to go through extra effort? Could easily place the burden of my choice on me."
I just sat in silence, not really understanding it myself. I could let him get the brunt of the teacher's attention. Similar to how that bastard got the General's attention so much. Yet for some reason I find this situation was different.
Me: "Call it thanks for breakfast."
He just nodded and we continued on our way. Rapidly racing across the roads towards our arching building of imprisonment.
[A couple dozen minutes before class begins]
No one was there once again besides the teacher. I must confess, I agree with Aizawa on silence. It is peaceful to just let your brain fall blank as you can hear nothing but maybe the ringing in your ears... well, the subtle ringing in my ears.
First person to walk in was the dichromic kid. At least he understood silence. I just nod to him and he does the same back before sitting. A brief intermission, but sadly this calm was too soon broken. Three voices down the hallway.
###: "I'm telling you! Don't converse with him! He is bad luck!"
###: "I know Mina, but she is intent on figuring out her things the hard way."
###: "Kero... I agree with her, but maybe their is merit to trying to courteous to him at least. My little brother is in his angsty phase and acts similar."
