A week after the wild chaos of the house party, Naina and Arjun were hosting another gathering at their place. This time, it was more relaxed. The lights were dim, fairy lights twinkling along the balcony, while the soothing hum of soft Bollywood music played in the background. The group—Riya, Rahul, Tanya, and Anish—had settled comfortably in the living room, lounging on pillows and cushions as the aroma of Naina’s famous chai wafted from the kitchen.Riya, as usual, was in a playful mood, and the night was just starting to get interesting. She glanced over at Arjun and Rahul, her lips curving into a mischievous smile.
“Naina, sweetheart, I think it’s time you learned something… shocking about your husband,” she said, leaning in like she was about to drop a major secret.
Naina cocked her head, intrigued. “Shocking? About my Arjun?” She smirked, giving him a playful nudge. “What could possibly surprise me about this man?”
Rahul laughed, exchanging a sly look with Arjun, who was already groaning and rubbing his temples. “Oh, you have no idea. See, back in college, Arjun and I weren’t just your average guys. We were legends.”
Naina raised an eyebrow, grinning. “Legends? Please, enlighten me.”
Riya giggled, not missing a beat. “Oh, don’t be fooled by this innocent face of his. Arjun and Rahul were the heartthrobs of our college. Everyone called them the Desi Boys.”
“Desi Boys? Like the movie?” Naina almost choked on her chai, laughing. “You’re telling me Arjun was walking around college like Akshay Kumar and John Abraham?”
“Oh, more than that, babe,” Rahul jumped in. “We were the Desi Boys. Leather jackets, sunglasses, the whole package.”
Naina gasped, her eyes widening with amusement. She turned to Arjun, who was sinking lower into the couch. “You, in a leather jacket? And sunglasses? In college?”
Arjun groaned again, running a hand through his hair. “It was a phase. Don’t judge.”
Riya’s laughter echoed around the room. “Don’t let him downplay it. These two strutted around like they owned the campus. I mean, matching leather jackets, slow-motion walks, hair flips—it was like they thought they were in some Bollywood movie.”
Naina burst out laughing, her cheeks flushing pink. “Slow-motion walks? Arjun, you did hair flips? I’ve never even seen you attempt one!”
“Baby, please, that’s the past,” Arjun mumbled, though a small smile tugged at his lips.
“Oh, no, no, no. I need details.” Naina leaned in closer to Riya, her eyes twinkling. “Tell me everything.”
Riya, practically glowing with excitement, pulled out her phone. “Lucky for you, I have receipts.”
Arjun’s eyes widened as he reached out, trying to snatch the phone from her hands. “Riya, don’t!”
Rahul held him back, laughing. “Let it happen, man. It’s time for the truth.”
Riya scrolled through her gallery, stopping at a picture that made her beam. “Okay, brace yourself, Naina. You’re about to witness peak Desi Boy.”
She handed Naina the phone, and the moment Naina laid eyes on the photo, she burst into uncontrollable laughter. Arjun and Rahul stood side by side, arms folded, dressed in identical black leather jackets and sunglasses, with the most ridiculous serious expressions on their faces. Their hair was windswept, perfectly styled like they’d just stepped off a movie set.
“Oh my God, Arjun!” Naina exclaimed, gasping between laughs. “You look like you were auditioning for a Mujhse Shaadi Karogi sequel!”
Riya was in stitches. “Right?! Look at their faces! The way they’re posing like they’re about to drop the hottest album of the decade!”
