Ranveer’s POV

Looking at her file and her photo, I realized just how much she had achieved in her life. Infinity Creation—the company she built entirely on her own—was a testament to her ambition and hard work. Yet, I still couldn’t understand why Nilesh Rajput, her father, was pushing for her to get married so soon. Had he even asked his daughter what she wanted? Did she agree to this, or was she being forced into something against her will?

The questions kept spinning in my head as I dialed Suraj’s number.

“Hello, Suraj… I need some information on someone,” I said firmly, my voice carrying a weight that matched my curiosity.

“Of course, boss. Just send me the name, and I’ll get you the details as soon as possible,” he replied, ever reliable.

“Thanks,” I said before ending the call. Without wasting time, I sent him the details I had on the Rajputs, wanting to dig deeper and understand the family dynamics, especially what had led to Nilesh Rajput’s recent actions.

As the phone screen dimmed, I found myself staring at Adira’s picture again. Her striking features brought back a flood of old memories, ones I hadn’t allowed myself to revisit in years.

The first time I saw her was at her family’s estate. She was just a child then, but even at 10 years old, there was something about her—a quiet determination in her eyes. Her family was known for their wealth and influence, but Adira didn’t seem to care about that. She had her own sense of purpose, even at such a young age. I remember being intrigued by her, but not enough to keep thinking about her back then.

The last time I saw her, she was 15. It was at one of our large, intimidating gatherings, where they were invited. She had grown, both in height and in presence. But despite the occasional smile she flashed to those around her, I saw something else in her—a distance. Maybe it was the weight of her family’s expectations or something more personal, but she seemed quieter, and more reserved than I remembered. That night was the last I saw of her. After that, life got in the way, and slowly, Adira faded from my mind.

Until now.

Looking at her now, successful and independent, the memories of her father’s greed surfaced too. Nilesh Rajput had always been about power, money, and control. It made sense that he would want to dictate Adira’s future, even her marriage. But how much of this was Adira’s decision, and how much was her father pulling the strings? That was something I needed to find out.

Whatever the case, she deserved better than being treated like a pawn in her father’s game.

After all this, I decided to sleep, but as soon as my head hit the pillow, thoughts began to flood my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about Adira, her family, and the situation I was now entangled in. What was Nilesh Rajput planning? Why this sudden urgency for marriage? And what did Adira feel about all of this? These questions swirled around in my head, refusing to let me rest.

Eventually, exhaustion won, and I drifted off into an uneasy sleep.

I woke up before sunrise, the restlessness from the night still lingering in my bones. Needing to clear my mind, I threw on my workout gear and headed for a long session at the gym. The burn of the weights, the rhythm of my breathing, and the sweat dripping from my forehead brought me some relief, pushing away the clutter in my mind. After a solid workout, I showered and dressed for the day, ready to face what was coming.
