Miguel had gone over to Lacy's house on his Bike. He decided that he should step up and introduce himself to Lacy's mom.

"Hi Ms Dupre. I'm Miguel and." Miguel shook his head and placed his helmet beside his bike.

"Hi Ms Dupre. I'm Miguel and I'm Lacy's boyfriend."

Miguel heard laughing. From the backyard he went around to check it out.

He then saw. Lacy laughing. Besides a guy around their age as well. And it was definitely not a cousin. Cousins don't look at each other like that.

She was Laughing. What was she laughing about? Who was this guy?

How could she sit there and look so beautiful.

Miguel felt he was punched on the gut.

Lacy's pov:

Miguel had a test. So Lacy waited outside of his class.

Miguel walked out of class with Demetri

"Hey!" Lacy smiled

"Hey." Miguel said kissing Lacy

"I'll see you later," Demetri said

"Yeah. Okay."

"Hey what's up with you?" Lacy said noticing something was up with Miguel.

"Come on I'm sure you did amazing again." Lacy said smiling

"Yeah. I was just distracted."

"What? Why?" Lacy asked concerned

"The tournament." Miguel replied

"I don't have a lot of time to prepare so."

"Well you had to have done better than me. The guy in front of me definitely did not shower. Made me completely forget how to calculate the volume of a sphere. But he definitely helped me with the word malodorous." Lacy giggled

Miguel looked down

"So how was family game night?" Miguel asked

"It was good." Lacy smiled

"I'd like to meet your family some time."

"Yeah, of course. You're welcome anytime."

"Yeah." Miguel said looking down

"Are you sure you're okay?" Lacy asked

"Yeah. I'm gonna go meet Demetri now. Um I'll talk to you later." Miguel said walking away.

Lacy knew something was wrong.

Lacy was at her locker getting her books out for the next period.

"Come on you can't keep on ignoring me. Lace." Abby said standing by Lacy's locker.

"I'm not ignoring you." Lacy said slamming her locker walking away.

"Well you clearly are. I mean we haven't talked in ages lace it feels like I barely know you now." Abby said walking with Lacy.

"Yeah because you decided you wanted to stop being friends with Cassie just because of some stupid rumour?"
