"Crystal. Ben? You can wake up now!" Liv calls as we pull up outside the Smiths house. Paul, Jessica and Louis stand outside waving at me. "We told them that you went out bowling so if they ask it was my idea!" Alex's mum says as we get out the car. I stand up and my legs wobble but I try to look happy as I smile at Jessica. "Come in. Come in! Hi Ben it's nice to meet you." she says as she shakes hands with Ben. Alex and his mum stand by the car and wave us off as they get in and drive away. I go inside with the weird feeling that something is still really wrong.
Crystal! I frown, sure I'm hearing things but the voice speaks again inside my head. Crystal.... Guess who? I sigh but the ringing in my head continues. Josai why can't you just leave me alone. I retort in my
mind while trying not to look distressed with Ben and Liv in the room. Well Crystal I was looking for you at Greenwich and guess who drove past? That's right! Your friend Alex. So if you want him to live... You better get down to the park by Greenwich without anyone knowing okay! The connection clicks and I realise that's it... End of conversation! A lump catches in my throat and I realise just how much I need to save Alex. I look around and see that everyone is busy so I get up an walk to the door. "Crystal where are you going?" Ben asks as he steps out in front of me. "Just to the toilet" I lie and open the door. I turn away from the stairs and walk straight out the front door.
As I get closer to the park I panic. Thoughts run through my head, is this a good idea? Is he bluffing? Has he hurt Alex? What's he gonna do when I get there? When I get to the park I hear someone shout my name and I turn to see Alex tied up to the tree nearby. Running over I untie the ropes and he pulls me into a tight hug. "It's a trap!" He whispers but all I say back is "I know!" He looks at me with a puzzled expression and I shake my head. I pull away from him and grab his hand, "Go!" I say and squeeze his hand encouragingly. He turns and walks away, "Alex... Don't tell them! Please!" I smile at him as he nods and walks away.
"Crystal. Now play nicely." I turn and walk towards Josai. I take a deep breathe and get into the passenger seat of the car. Josai clicks his fingers and the branches of the trees part to let the car pass through. I sit back and try to relax. "Oh and just before we leave i need to give you something to stop that pesky telepathic communication! oh this may cause make you feel.. drowsy." I turn to ask what he means but instantly a needle has been injected into my arm and my eyelids become instantly heavy. "No no no." I whisper as my eyelids shut and I blank out for the second time today.
