The days seem to fly by and before I know it, it's Sunday morning. A text from Liv reads Can't wait to see you later!! My mum says we'll pick you up at 11. And don't forget a swimming costume ;). Sighing, I get up and after checking the time I open my wardrobe and pull out my high waisted jeans and a kimono. It'll do. I get dressed and walk down to the kitchen, where I grab a piece of toast smothered in Nutella. I walk back upstairs and return to my room. I pull out my book and sit on the window sill reading and looking out the window at the grey sky overhead.
"Crystal! The smiths are here to pick you up!" Sasha calls from the stairs and I jump up and grab my bag with my swimming costume and towel in. I fling open the door and run down the stairs to find Liv and Ben chatting intently. I inwardly laugh and walk over to them "Hey!" I say as they both spot me coming. I note how they are stood shoulder to shoulder and raise an eyebrow at Ben. "We better be off. Thanks... Sasha is it? Yeah she will be back by 6 okay?" Jessica says and Ben give me a encouraging smile before saying goodbye and returning back upstairs. "Come on. Let's go!" Liv says as she snakes her arm through mine and leads me towards the BMW sitting in the car park.
"Wow..." I gasp as we pull up outside the smiths house. The house is massive! The front porch is full of flowers in hanging baskets and the pathway is lined with colourful plants. "Wow" I say again. Paul unlocks the door and Louis darts inside the house and as he does a small Yorkie dog appears from the kitchen. Liv leads me upstairs and shows me her room. The walls are painted white and streams Of fairy lights line the walls giving off a pretty glow. "Yeah if you came to Liv with us this is where's you'd stay I mean I don't mind sharing a room. In fact it's pretty boring on my own." Liv laughs and Jessica shouts upstairs. "Liv you two can get in the pool now if you want!" I pause. "Wait you don't mean to say...." I look out the window and see the clear blue water rippling as Louis splashes around in the pool. Wow this family must be rich , I think as I pull out my swimming costume. Liv turns around and gets changed into a black swimming costume with I'm really a mermaid written on the front. I look down at my own white, flowery costume and giggle. I can already tell that this days gonna be awesome.
It's five o'clock when I grab my towel and unwillingly pull myself out the pool. The cold air rushes around me and I rap my towel tightly around me. "Come on!" Liv shouts from down the garden and I look to see her heading into the small wood like area. Jogging to catch up I find her sitting on a lone swing tied up between two trees. Hanging near by is a blue hammock and I lay down and listen to the rustle of the leaves being blown in the wind. "There's something I need to show you." Liv says, "and please don't go crazy ass scared on me. Just lemme show you then I will explain okay?" I nod, a sudden nervous energy pulses through my body as I wait for Liv to explain. I turn to see her and nearly pass out at what I see. Beautiful white wings have sprouted from her shoulders and are stretched out at her sides. She smiles at me nervously as a white feather falls from her wings and is blown away by the wing.
