RONIT'S POV
I knew I was going to meet Alaina today and I had prepared myself to not talk to her. I knew it would be hard because I still love her a lot. I left without saying anything to protect her from the world I live in.
They are living in a house in Florence due to some bastard that has his eyes set on Alaina. I swear I'll give him a brutal death after I find him.
My eyes fell on her as soon as I entered her house. Fuck. She has gotten even more stunning than before. She was shocked to see me. We made eye contact during dinner and all our memories flooded into my mind.
She soon looked away from me and then did not even spare me a glance for the whole dinner. Of course why would she. Why would she look at a asswhole who broke her heart?
"I'll go to my room" she said after finishing her plate
"Umm is something wrong?" Asked Aarav uncle
"No, my head hurts that's it" she said and went
"I wanted to discuss a few things so let's go to the office" said Aarav uncle. We all nodded and headed to the office before keeping our plates in the sink.
Aarav uncle was saying something but I couldn't concentrate on it at all. My mind constantly went back to Alaina. Fuck it, I want to talk to her. I need to talk to her.
"I'll go use the restroom and come" I said and went out
I went upstairs. Which is her room? I checked all the room but they were empty. One room was remaining and I was sure it's hers. I knocked and heard a small come in. I went in and locked the door behind. She saw me and got up from her bed
"Get out" she said
"No" I replied
"I'll scream" she threatened
"Lina please I want to talk to you" I said
"First of all its Alaina for you and second of all about what" she questioned
"About anything. I just want to talk to you" I said
"But I don't so please get out" she said
"I won't" I said going towards her
"Okay then I will" she said while going towards the door
Before she could unlock the door, I held her both her hands in my one hand. She is still so tiny. Before she could react I turned her around and pinned her to the door.
"Leave me" she said struggling to get out of my grip
"No" I whispered in her ear.
"I left be-" I started but she cut me off
"I don't care why you left. Just get out of my room please" she requested her voice breaking at the end. I looked at her face and saw tears were about to spill out of her eyes.
"I'm sorry please don't cry. I can't take it. Just listen to me this once please" I said and she nodded
"I left because I wanted to protect you from the world I live in." I said
"You wanted to protect me" she huffed "you left me when I needed you the most. You knew what I was going through but you still left me" she said as tears streamed down her face. I wiped her tears from my other hand. I cannot bear seeing her cry. I hate myself for being the reason behind it
"Why did you come back now then?" she asked
"Because my father and yours are great allies and they needed help with the stalker situation" I replied
