With a gasp, Mero jolts awake, her mind still clouded by the fragments of her dream. She finds herself in a cave, the cold, damp surroundings a stark contrast to the visions that played out in her subconscious.  As Mero gains her bearings, she turns to find Shane lying unconscious beside her. Concern and confusion wash over her as she takes in his motionless form. As Mero observes Shane's steady breathing, a wave of relief washes over her. At least he was alive, his chest rising and falling with every breath.

 "Shane....ppsst shane"

Mero calls as she shakes him, Mero gently shakes Shane, her voice a soft whisper in the cave's silence. "Shane... Can you hear me?"

The only response is a soft groan from Shane, his body stirring lightly at her touch. He seems groggy and disoriented as he slowly starts to regain consciousness. he managed to say something as he wakes up"Aye... I hear yea"

A hint of recognition washes over Mero's face as she hears Shane's mumbled words. "Ah, you're awake," she replies, relieved. "Thought I lost you there for a second."

"Ah, a small fall doesn't knoc a guy like me dowrn, I've been through worse"

Mero can't help but chuckle at Shane's resilient comment. "You're certainly tough, I'll give you that," she says, a wry smile tugging at her lips.

"But falling into a hole in the ground is nothing to scoff at, you know?"

Shane looked up, they were about thirty to fifty feet below ground, and they've been out cold for about fifteen minutes due to the lighting the small silver of sunlight that managed to creep in, Mero's eyes scanned the space around them, seeking a way out. Despite her best efforts, none presented themselves. A sense of unease settled over her, but she tried to keep her voice steady. "Looks like we're stuck down here for now," she said, a hint of resignation in her words.

 "There's a tunnel.... Maybe it's a way out"

Shane's observation brought a glimmer of hope to Mero. "A tunnel? Do you think it leads anywhere?" she asked, trying not to let her excitement get the better of her.
