As the Shapeshifter approached the lagoon, the crew members on board couldn't help but marvel at the sight before them. The clear, sparkling waters and lush, tropical surroundings were a stark contrast to the gloomy island they had left behind.
"Right"Mikasa spoke balsidly
"If we're gonna get the perl we better get it fast, mermaids are territoial."
that's why, I'm going in"
Mikasa turned to Shane who already held a small sword in his hands, he had the grey jacket he was wairing tossed to the side, just the white buttoned up undershirt
"Boy... Ye have the guts of a man. "
Shane unbuttoned the shirt, showing off the top half of his body as well as a large scar on his chest, Shane stood in the edge
"Wish me luk"He said before jumping into the lagoon,The crew members watched as Shane unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his muscular chest and a large scar on his chest. They held their breaths as he stood on the edge, preparing to jump into the lagoon.
"Good luck, you bloody idiot," Unoko muttered, her voice laced with concern.
-------------------
Shane swam through the lagoon, his powerful strokes propelling him through the water. Despite the decreasing oxygen in his lungs, he pushed himself to swim further and faster. As one of the crew members who could hold their breath the longest, he was determined to endure. Shane's eyes widened as he approached the temple. The reeds and seaweed parted as he cut through the water, revealing the imposing sight of the temple. Despite the urgency of his mission, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the structure before him. Shane was caught off guard as something attacked him out of nowhere. He struggled to see what it was, the water and underwater foliage obstructing his vision. He fought against the unknown assailant, his instincts kicking in to defend himself.
------
Unoko from above watched as bubbles fly up, everyone else had left knowing Shane could take care of it but Unoko.... She had to admit it, she was worried...The other crew members had left, knowing that Shane was skilled enough to handle himself, but Unoko couldn't shake off her worry. Then the bubbles stopped, Unoko's worry only intensified as the absence of bubbles suggested that something had gone wrong. She anxiously scanned the water's surface, hoping to catch a glimpse of Shane.
"Shit... SHANE!"
unoko yelled as she prepared to dive in the water, then before she did a very wet and scratched Shane spring from the water, A collective sigh of relief echoed through the crew as Shane emerged from the water, soaking wet and scratched up. Unoko, who had been on the verge of diving in herself, stopped as she saw him pop up.
Unoko helped him back abord, but quickly pushed him
"Yer and idiot, scarrin' me like tha.. The hells wrong with ye?"
