RING. It's finally recess. I and Parisa walk out of the classroom and down to the cafeteria. We walk over to a table next to the windows. It's a place to have a great view. The whole wall is replaced with glass. But there is some cement securing the glass. We both always avoid the windows in winter because when people open the door it's annoying. It's cold! And I sometimes don't like to wear sweaters because in class it's hot.
"Good luck to you," says Parisa, smiling widely with a teasing smile.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"You're sitting next to someone you WON'T go along with."
"Argh don't start."
"He was staring at you..."
"I know I saw that, and I'm not impressed. He has found his next victim that is going to be ME."
"Lol, good luck" I glare at her.
"Let's go out man. It's a great day." she grabs my hand and walks us out of the cafeteria. There is an exit outside of the cafeteria.
It looks amazing outside. Shiny sun and the cool wind breezing around us and against us. There is a huge field farther away from us. A big basketball court in front of us. At our school there are a few of those. There is one at the far right of us and one behind the field. While people mostly favor and play on the one in front of us. I on the other hand usually play soccer mostly, basketball was my spare option.
"Fawn!" Parisa yells. I zone back into earth and then I see a ball charging at me. I catch it before I can hit me. I glare at the boys. Argh. Matthew was one of them playing. I throw the ball back hard. I glare at them. Some of the guys gave me a sorry look meanwhile some were confused. Bruh some even choose not to look at me. Matthew gave me a confused look. Then rolled his eyes at me. I roll my eyes back and walk away and Parisa follows me.
I and Parisa decided not to play soccer today. I mean it is the first day of school. I and Parisa decide to spend the recess sitting on a stone bench, talking about life for grade 11. It's going to be a huge year. Full of hard work.
RING.
We go back to our homeroom. We won't be having other extra classes this week because well it is our first week back at school. Plus, Ms. Kumar also mentioned that we haven't gotten our art and Tech teacher yet. So I guess the whole week we will be chilling. I sit at my spot next to Parisa and there comes Matthew. He drops into his seat next to me.We wait quietly for the teacher. Until Parisa shows me something in her diary. I freak out and try to grab it from her and cross it out, which makes a lot of noise and my hand accidentally hits something, and BANG BANG DING. I hear a metal noise fall beside me.
I turn to where I heard the noise and I look to the floor to see water on the floor and a water bottle... That looks like Matthew's water bottle. OH MY GOSH, who else would It frickin be? I look up to see Matthew's face as I'm in shock. He glares at me madly. I give him a apologetic look but he still glares at me.
"Oh my gosh, that's a lot of water. What happened?" Ms. Kumar asked.
"I accidentally dropped it and spilled it..." I reply.
"Oh okay please clean up you two," she says with a smile and goes towards her desk. Matthew glares at me and we get out of our seats. I walk towards the paper towels grabbing a ripping a bunch. I bend down to clean the mess. Matthew does it as well. His face looked annoyed. Like he was going to kill me. I will survive this.
"My water bottle is bent" he glares at me. He sets a cold face.
"Ahh uhm sorry, I seriously didn't mean to" I reply. Bro, does it seem like I wanted to drop you're water bottle? Stop glaring at me like that. Not in the classroom man.
"You owe me 30 dollars," he said in an annoying tone.
"WHAT? 30 DOLLARS. You buy a frickin water bottle for frickin 30 bucks. Man, a water bottle???" I yell.
"Shhhhhh!" Ms. Kumar yells.
"You. Owe. Me. 30. Bucks." He said madly.
"Okay fine...sorry for denting it. I'll pay you" I look down and finish keeping with his help. I sanitize my hands because I feel like I have OCD but I don't. I go settle in the middle of Parisa and Matthew. He does not seem happy. I give Parisa a huge death glare.
"50 50" I glare at her.
"No...." She says. I glare at her.
"Fine" She says.
"You know what guys? I seriously don't have anything for you guys to do so you guys can go down to the cafeteria and chill. ONLY cafeteria, you have no permission to go out." Ms. Kumar says. We storm out of the classroom downstairs. We find a seat. I was hoping for this.
"My money." Matthew comes in and sits at our table.
"Ahhh right now?" I ask
"Then when after we graduate?" He asks sarcastically.
"That would be perfect" I smile and he glares at me.
"I don't have cash with me right now."
"10 more bucks," he says
"What?"
"You have to pay me 40 dollars now."
"WHAT WHY?"
"First you break my water bottle and now you say you won't pay me."
"I NEVER SAID I WON'T PAY YOU"
"Don't yell at me" he glares.
"Or else I'm making it a fifty."
"Fine. I'll pay you tomorrow." I say.
"Mhm." he nods and leaves. ARGH. I turn to Parisa and glare at her.
"50 50" I say
"Fine! You guys the glare squad or something." Parisa cries . I glare at her again.
"You two would be perfect together. Like lost soulmates," she says.
"SHUT UP"
My day continues. I am annoyed. New info about me. I have anger issues. I go straight home and put 20 bucks in my bag for tomorrow. I text Parisa to give 20 dollars or else she is dead. She needs to pay him too. The reason why I broke his water bottle was because of her. I go to bed wondering. How my life was gonna go. Bad? Good? Fine? In this category, I can only pick bad. It started badly so it will end badly.
Matthew Lewis's Pov:
Diary:
There is this girl in my class this year. She's annoying. Today I and the boys were playing basketball and she came with her friend when we were playing and stood there not looking around her surroundings when the ball went charging at her she caught it. Then she threw the ball back at us hard. Does she think we did it purposefully? She's just overreacting. It almost fell on Aarav's head. She glares at us back also for it. I hate this girl's attitude. Then in class, she breaks my water bottle! And when I tell her the price she yells at me. How disrespectful. She has a huge mouth for it as well. Even though she didn't talk to me much I can see a lot for her. But she kinda does remind me of Aunt Sarah. The worst part is I sit next to her in class. I want to move as quickly as possible and not sit with this girl. I don't even know her name. It must mean something terrible.
