RADEN
NOW

"Ugh," I heard Annie groan, "We have been looking at this stupid file for hours and still no leads."

"No wonder the Chief was having such a hard time." I replied, looking through the papers again, "Maybe we missed something."

I quickly glanced at Annie, she was studying her half of the file on the other side of my bed. Her eyes were intense even with the dark circles under her eyes. The Sun was unfortunately drifting down slowly as our lunch was getting cold.

"They should have had an interview with Finnick and Charlotte Lard." I heard Annie mumble, snapping me back to reality.

"Who?" I asked while scavenging through my pile again. "Finnick and Charlotte Lard? Andrea's parents?" She replied like I should know who they are. I went to the interview section in my pile "Is this it?" I asked as I gave her the paper.

"Yes!" She said as read she read it aloud slowly;

[Chief Smith.] State your name and your relation to Andrea Lard.

[Finnick Lard] My name is Finnick Lard and I am Andrea Lard's father.

[Chief Smith.] Walk me through what happened the night of October 6th.

[Finnick Lard]  *sighs* We were having a dinner like normal. My wife, Charlotte, asked how my day went and as I was telling her Andrea blurted out about a plastic surgery. Which escalated to an argument.

[Chief Smith.] Why?

[Finnick Lard] We obviously don't have the money for that! And he was so beautiful she didn't need it.

[Chief Smith.] Did she say why she wanted to?

[Finnick Lard] She just said the she was ugly and needed surgery.

[Chief Smith.] What happened next?

[Finnick Lard] She stormed out.

[Chief Smith.] You didn't chase her?

[Finnick Lard] I was too angry and I knew we both needed to cool off. If I knew she was-

[Chief Smith.] It's okay, take your time.

[Finnick Lard]  *sighs* I'm good.

[Chief Smith.] Was that the last time you had contact with her?

[Finnick Lard] No, I called her and she said that she was just staying at a friend's house.
