Today was going to be my first day of school. I woke up, prepared breakfast, showered, and got ready for school. I said goodbye to my home that I have lived in for almost two years.
Since I was a transfer student, the school has sent me a private driver. I wore the school uniform which had the the unique red blazer with golden strips, green pants, blue tie, and golden buttons.

I arrived in front of the school gate.
"Since you don't know the layout of the school, the chairman had also asked me to escort you to the office." said the driver.
"Oh thank you, I appreciate it."
I was told to arrive 30 minutes earlier because of the chairman. He told me that we're discussing important matters about the school.
I walked with the driver to the chairman's office. On the way, I glanced at the magnificent Advanced Nurturing High School. The clean vibrant trees and grass, the glossy buildings.
This is like a school for the elite.
As we walked, sakura leaves would pass by in front of me. I never realised its beauty until now.
We finally arrived. The driver walked away, only instructing me to open the door and enter.
I entered the chairman's office. As I opened the door, it swung with a creak.
"Are you the transfer student?" said the Chairman.
"Yes. So... why was I not given any intructions? What class am I even going to?" I asked.
"We're going to talk about that right now. Please, take a seat."
As I sat on the seat, a light pomf sound was created.
"As you might already know, you were given very little information on how the school works, since you're a transfer student we are giving you advanced information on the rules."
I was then given a tablet, with the rules of the school shown.
"This will be your school tablet, in it will contain the neccesities you need to understand this school. Let's start with your allowance. In this school you are given private points instead of money. One private point is equal to one Japanese yen. You can spend your private points on many facilities built in this school."
A map of the school was shown on my tablet. There was even a Mall, the Keyaki Mall. In it has grocery stores, cafe's, gyms, and all kinds of facilities. But in order to access these facilities, you need private points.
"So how do I get private points?"
"I was about to talk about that. Each month you get a certain amount of private points depending on how much class points your class has. If your class has 500 class points, you get 50,000 private points, 100 times the amount of class points."
     "What are class points?"
"Class points are the points your class earns during school. The criteria to earn or lose class points on a daily basis is confidential, but class points are mostly earned or lost through special exams. Class's points also determine your class ranking. Class A has the most class points, while Class D has the least. Additionally, if Class D earns more class points than Class C, then Class D is promoted to Class C, and Class C is demoted to Class D. This is called the S-System."
So Classes A-D are in a constant competion to see who placed on the top.
"Oh... wow. So what are special exams?"
"Special exams are exams the school conducts in order to test the student's skills and capabilities. It allow's students to rise to Class A by working together."
"So... the only reason to rise to Class A is to earn more private points? Or is there more?"
"Ahh, no one has told you yet? The staff is really diligent. Yes, graduating in Class A will give you privilages to enter any university or enter into any career you want."
So graduating in Class A gives you those privilages? Now that makes sense, simply graduating and getting those privilages is too good to be true.
"So, that's a brief overview of the rules of this school. I will now talk about your placement."
"So? What class am I in?" I asked.
"Unfortunately, you will be placed in Class D. We simply have very little info about your previous school life. We only have you first year of high school."
"It's fine. I couldn't attend elementary and middle school, I was all self-taught when I was a kid."
     "Are you fine with that?"
     "Yes, I'm used to this."
"Okay. Oh, by the way this is the Overall Ability App, OAA for short. The OAA ranks your abilities. We asked your school some questions on how you acted and how well you did in school. These are your rankings."

Academic Ability: 74 (B)
Physical Ability: 62 (B-)
Adaptability: 57 (C+)
Social Contribution: N/A
Overall Ability: 64 (B-)

"The criteria on how the number is determined is explained in the app, just click that 'i' button to know more." said the chairman.
It says here the formula to calculate my overall ability is Academic + Physical + Adaptability + Social (0.5) all divided by 3.5.
Also, it seems like my previous school is being judged very low. I got 85's to 90's on tests. This school might be tougher than I expected.
I'll read more about this later.
"Since your previous school did not record any of your social interactions, we left it blank for now. It updates every month. Next month, your rankings might change. Oh and you're going to live on the second year dorms, there's a map of the school on your tablet, it also has your room number. Each floor is seperated by gender so don't accidentally go to the girls' floor!"
     "O-okay..." I said.
"After this, you're going to be with me to watch the entrance ceremony."
"Eh... but, I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but, I don't wanna seen beside the chairman. I don't really like to cause confusion."
"Ah, don't worry, you'll be in another room, not on public. After the ceremony you would go to your homeroom class, give an introduction, and it should be smooth sailing from there."
     "Ahh thank you."
"Don't worry about it. Anyways, the entrance ceremont starts in 10 minute's shall we move?" He asked.
     "Yes, I'm ready."
I stood up, and went to the special room following the chairman. His footsteps could be heard across the hallway. When we arrived, we sat down and watched a live video of the ceremony.
