After the student council president finished his speech, the chairman said his goodbyes and I went to my class, Class D.
Apparently, I was also place in Class D because they had the most expulsions during their first year.

     "Okay, I'm on seat A8." I muttered.
I'm sat on the corner, beside the window. Amazing.
Rows are represented by letter, and columns are represented by number. So I am in the first row on the last column.
There were only two seats on the eighth column. Four students were expelled from forty students, leaving thirty-six left plus me making it thirty-seven.
As I arrived in Class D, I heard muffled voices of the students talking about the time they spent during spring break.
"So! How did you spend your spring break, Nena-san?"
"Oh, oh! I went to see that movie you recomended. How did you know I liked romance?!"
     "Hehe... instincts."
Boys voices could also be heard.
"Augh... why did the school change our seats? I'm now seperated with Tango-chan..."
"Don't worry man! I'm sat beside her, we could switch seats! The school said it was allowed right?"
"Really?! Thank you soo much! I gotta repay you someday!"
I saw the sign 'Class D' and stopped onin front of the sliding doors. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
As I opened the door, a student looked at me and wondered...
     "Hey, who's that?" she gossiped.
"Is he on the wrong class?"
"No, no, he was not in any of the classes last year." said another student.
Suddenly everyone had started to talk about a new face's appearance, me. There was still 10 minutes before class started.
Maybe I should've arrived more late.
I sat on my seat and took out the tablet to read more.
As time went on, more students arrived in class, questioning my existence.
I opened the OAA app and took a look on Class 2-D. Each class had a supposed leader. Here are the leaders of the second years.

Class 2-A: Ichigami Hikaru
Class 2-B: Horikita Yukiko
Class 2-C: Kiriyama Totsuka
Class 2-D: Ichinose Honoka

Class Points rankings 2nd Year:
Class A - 1042 Class Points
Class B - 998 Class Points
Class C - 874 Class Points
Class D - 489 Class Points

Oh, I can also see the class rankings in the beginning of last year. Here it is.

Class A (Ichigami) - 943 Class Points
Class B (Ichinose) - 880 Class Points
Class C (Horikita) - 849 Class Points
Class D (Kiriyama) - 798 Class Points

Apparently, there was a brutal special exam last year that dropped the class points of Class D.
Time passed by, and there was one minute left before class. No one approached me, and there was only one seat left open, the seat beside me.
"Is Ichinose-san not coming today? Even though it's the first day of school?" gossiped a student.
     "I guess we're never reaching Class A."
I guess Ichinose Honoka was the only hope for Class A, until she failed.
The bell rang, and a teacher arrived. She took a glance at me and began talking.
"Okay, good morning Class D, I am your homeroom teacher Chabashira Sae. You might be wondering why I re-introduced myself? Well it's because we have a new transfer student." said Chabashira-sensei.
As I was about stand up, the sliding door opened. In entered one student. With a dark expression and empty eyes, she sat on the seat beside me.
Gossip rang around the silent room.
     "Ichinose-san is here today?"
"Wow, it's been a month since we've seen her, yet her expression remains unchanged."
"Okay, come up here transfer student." said Chabashira-sensei.
When Ichinose heard 'transfer student' she glanced at me, then immediately looked down on her empty desk.
I stood up and went in the front of the room. Chabashira gave me the podium.
"Good morning. Um, my name is Ryō Kitahama. I'm from from a poor family, and they adopted me. To thank them I want to work hard in the future and pay them back. Uhh... I don't hate studying, and I read some books. It's, uhh, nice to meet you all?"
Students awed finally understanding my existence.
"Well, welcome to our class, Ryō-kun. It's nice to have someone new. We can definitely reach Class A!" said a female student with a blue purplish hair.
     "You're always so nice Aiko-chan."
"Ahaha... r-really? Thanks for the compliment Tango-san."
There was a sense of weakness in those words, it was trying to hold on to something.
"Umm, I'm new, so I don't know your names yet. If you want to talk to me, please state your name, I'll try to remember it."
"Oh yeah! My name is Amikura Aiko, nice to meet you!" said the student with blue purplish hair.
"I'm Tango Emi, nice to meet you as well!"
The popular students introduced their names to me, and almost the entire class gave their names. Except one...
"Is Ichinose-san going to introduce herself to the new guy?" a student wondered.
"I don't think so..." another student replied.
Amikura went to Ichinose's desk, and mumbled a few words to her. She seemed to be ignoring her.
I had heard her name come up so much now that I remember it to the point that she doesn't need to give an introduction.
"H-Honoka-san, we have a new transfer student, do you want to introduce yourself?"
     "..."
"C'mon we can't give up on Class A. Everyone needs each other's help, and we need yours too."
     "..."
It seems like she was not ignoring her, bur was just in a big daze.
Her pupils moved, and finally realized everyone's gazes on her.
"Just... leave me be Aiko-san." she muttered.
With that Amikura left her alone.
"So sorry Ryō-kun, it's just... we have important class matters that we still need to solve." said Amikura.
"Is it possible for me to help?" I asked.
"Oh, don't worry. You're new here so just relax for now."
She then turned around and sat back on her assigned seat.
"Okay class is starting. Ryō, did the school inform you on how it works?" asked Chabashira-sensei.
"Yes, I was given a basic overview of the school's rules. I will read more on the tablet when I arrive in the dorms."
     "Good."
I sat on my seat, prepared for a lesson to begin. But...
"Okay. Everyone might realise this already, but I am going to announce the first special exam of your second year." Chabashira-sensei continued. "The special exam is called The Physical Special Exam. The school has not given me the rules and the date of the special exam, we just ask you to be ready. The rules are going to be announced tomorrow during homeroom."
And with that, class began. I am going to experience my very first special exam conducted by this school.
