Chapter 6: Stan O' War

Mabel and Dipper were walking through town, being very cautious and careful with their every move.

"It's getting dark.. We should find a place to stop and rest soon." Dipper said, rubbing his eyes.

Mabel was confused when he said it was getting dark. Mainly because time had stayed the same for the last week since Weirdmageddon started (from what she'd been told). She just assumed it was because he was tired and she couldn't blame him, she was tired as well.

They both looked around, then Mabel pointed to the abandoned mall in the distance. "What if we rested there?"

"Perfect! Let's go!" They both rushed toward the mall, avoiding an eye bat in the process. As they snuck in, they began looking around for anything they could use to build a shelter to sleep in.

While searching, Mabel had been looking for sheets to use as blankets. She entered a furniture store and found a variety of beds with blankets on them. They were a bit dusty from debris but they were still useful. She ran around the store grabbing as many blankets as possible when all of a sudden she heard a noise. One she was unfamiliar with.

She slowly crept toward where the noise was coming from and all of a sudden it jumped out at her.

“I have a gun! Get back!” The person shouted while pointing a magnet gun at her.

Mabel screamed and backed away in fear, but then she realized the person she was looking up at was..

“Wait, GRUNKLE FORD?!?”

“Mabel? Oh my goodness, you’re okay!”

Dipper came running in the store as fast as he could. “Mabel, are you okay? I heard screaming and-” Dipper paused when he realized Stanford was standing next to her. “OH MY GOD GRUNKLE FORD! You’re okay!” Dipper ran up to him and gave him a tight hug. “I was so worried about you because of earlier with Bill because you had got taken and he got ahold of the journals and-”

“Dipper, calm down!” Mabel said as she hit his back, hard, causing his hat to fall out of place.

“Ow!” He said, fixing his hat.

“What he meant to say was, we're so glad we found you!”

“I’m glad I found you kids too. Luckily I escaped from Bill before he could do any major harm to me. Quick question though, where's Stanley?”

“I was going to tell you about that now. He’s trapped in some sort of prison bubble made by Bill. Mabel and I were put in the same ones but luckily we escaped.”

“Oh.." Ford said as he frowned.

"Don't worry Grunkle Ford, we'll get Stan back!" Mabel said.

"No, I'm not sure we'll be able to."

"What? What do you mean?"

Ford sighed. "It's a miracle you kids made it out alive. I'm not sure Stanley would be able to.."

"But, if we saved ourselves then we can for sure save Stan!"

Ford was getting frustrated. His lie wasn't working, he needed to think of something else. Something more convincing.. "I suppose. But we need to be careful, we don't want to get captured by Bill.. Again."

They rested for a couple hours before gathering their things and making their way to Stanley's bubble. As Dipper unlocked the bubble and they stepped inside, they seemed to float in the air for a minute before falling.

Mabel and Dipper screamed and held onto each other as they fell into the ocean below them. They both screamed out for help for a few seconds before they were pulled out of the water and onto a boat.
