Chapter 7: "It's a Deal."

Dipper's face lit up as he saw the shack in the distance.

"Yes! The shack is okay!"

Mabel ran over to the couch on the porch. "The wads of gum I stuck to the couch are still here!"

"Ew Mabel!" Dipper and Mabel giggled.

The four of them walked inside the shack. It gave the same familiar feeling of being home. If there weren't an apocalypse happening they'd sit in front of the TV and watch the same boring movie channels and infomercials like always.

"Alright, we don't have a lot of time. Spread out and look for weapons!" Stanford said as he input the code to the vending machine and went down to the basement.

While he was downstairs, he talked to Bill again through the device he had.

Bill answered, "Yelloww??"

"It's almost time."

Bill laughed. "Perfect. I'll send the eye bats your way now."

Stanford hung up, put the device back in his pocket, and went back upstairs.

By then everyone had gathered what they needed. Mabel had her grappling hook, Dipper had his golf club, Stanley had his brass knuckles and his.. Gold chain?

"Stanley, why are you bringing your gold chain?" Stanford narrowed his eyes at him.

"If I'm gonna die I'm gonna die with style, Poindexter."

"Grunkle Stan, we're not gonna die, we're gonna live and eat pug sundaes everyday!" Mabel exclaimed.

Dipper rolled his eyes. "You have such an.. Interesting mindset."

"Thank you!"

"That wasn't a compliment.." He mumbled under his breath.

Stanford said in a serious tone. "We don't have much time. Is everyone ready?"

As everyone agreed, they slowly made their way out of the shack. A few moments after walking into the woods, being cautious of their every move, they were spotted by the eye bats sent by Bill.

They all tried to get away but it was too late. Before they knew it, they were turned into stone.

When they were unfrozen, they observed their surroundings and saw they were in the fearamid.

"What..? Why are we here?" Dipper said as he rubbed his head.

"Ohoho! The Pines family, just who I wanted to see!" Bill said as he appeared in front of them.

"What do you want from us! Why did you take us here!" Dipper said as everyone held up their weapons.

"Relax kid. I just wanted to have a little chat! But first.." He chained Ford around his neck, arms, and legs, and brought him over to him.

"Hey! You leave our grunkle alone you one eyed demon!" Mabel shouted at him.

Bill laughed. "Oh, shooting star you never fail to make me laugh! You seriously think your "grunkle" wasn't part of my whole plan?"

Dipper, Mabel, and Stanley all looked confused.

"What are you talking about? Grunkle Ford, he's just saying that to get a kick out of us right?" Dipper said.

Stanford looked away, ashamed.

"Grunkle Ford..?"

"Dipper, I.."

Bill laughed. "Don't try to sugarcoat it, Sixer. Let me tell you what really happened."

*Flashback to where Bill first gets ahold of Stanford*

When Dipper flew back against the tree, he was knocked out. Bill then unfroze Stanford.

"Ready to make a deal?"

"No! I'd never make a deal with you!"

"Think about it, Sixer. It'd just be us. We could take over the world together. We'd have infinite power, we could cause chaos in every single dimension, we could rule over everyone and everything."

Stanford was gonna say something before Bill continued.

"Isn't that something you'd always wanted to do? Be with me? Because I make you feel seen? Because I don't make you feel like an outcast?"

"You destroyed my life! I'd never want to be with you after that."

"Remember the good old days, Sixer. You and I were best friends. We bonded the way you had always wanted to bond with someone. You were going to build a freaking portal for me. Don't you just want it to be us again?" Bill laughed. "Who am I kidding? Of course you do! Admit it! You miss me, don't you?"

Stanford was speechless. "I.. I do miss you. I have missed you." He looked down. "I will admit, that offer does sound.. Convincing."

"All you gotta do is shake my hand." Bill reached his hand out to him, a blue flame following.

Stanford paused and thought to himself, "What the hell are you doing Ford? What are you thinking! Get your act together! This is the same guy who tortured you. Who almost killed you. Who almost made your life a living hell. Think of Stan! Think of the kids! Think of what you're getting yourself into! Think about what happened to Fiddleford! Think about every single living human being on the earth. Don't shake his hand. Don't shake his fucking hand, Ford. Don't you fucki-"

Before Stanford knew it, he shook Bill's hand. "It's a deal. From now until the end of time."

Bill laughed, ecstatic. "Oh boy! I knew you'd change your mind! We can't waste any time. Let's get going!" Bill said as he snapped and put Dipper in a bubble. He then got in a car with Stanford and the henchmaniacs to drive to the fearamid.

*Back in the present. During that time Bill unchained Stanford and put him back on the floor*

Dipper, Mabel, and Stanley were all in disbelief.

"So.. He really was telling the truth. Grunkle Ford, how could you?" Mabel said as her voice cracked and her eyes teared up.

"Mabel, please. I'm sorry."

"No! You're not! If you were, you wouldn't have shaken his stupid hand!"

There was a moment of silence before Stanley spoke, "All those years I spent. All those blood, sweat, and tears. All of that time I spent just to bring you back, just for you to come back and make the biggest fuck up of your entire life. I threw away my life for you, and this is how you repay me?"

"Stanley, don't cause a scene."

"I'M NOT! I have a right to be pissed off!"

Stanford rolled his eyes.

"I was always called the disappointment of the family but maybe it was always you all along."

"No. I'm intelligent. I went to college. I was awarded money for my research. I used my brains for nothing but good, you on the other hand? You stole. You cheated. You lied. What good have you ever done in your life?"

"You seriously think I wanted to live my life that way? All I wanted to do was go treasure hunting with you."

Stanford inched closer to Stanley's face and narrowed his eyes. "I'm glad to know it'll never happen.”
