Chapter 3

"That is a new way to get to know someone"

I paused myself from laying down on bed. He respond and what do I do now? I smiled knowing I have never felt this before. "What am I going to do now?" 

I looked the chat not knowing what to respond. As if the phone is looking at me not me looking at the phone. I was so nervous not knowing what to do. 

I replied after a couple of minutes. "I don't know what to say to you so I ended up sending you the duration of the song verse." I hit sent. 

Waiting and waiting. Then *ding*

"That is a new strategy, I have never received anything like this from girls." I smiled and we kept continuing chatting.

We talked a lot on chat and he knows me from TikTok as well. We both kept talking on and on non stop. Till I finally did it. 

"You know it is hard to me to keep chatting on Instagram because sometimes I miss the notification. How about this, I give you my number and you decided if you still want to continue this conversation."

"Here XXX-XXX-XX."

"If it is a no text from you, then I won't bother you anymore and just think of this a stranger chatting to a stranger."

After I sent that chat, there was no respond. I have been waiting minutes, hours for him to respond but he did not. I see the clock and it is already pass midnight. I was positive thinking that he may be asleep or you know maybe it was a no.

I fall asleep with a frown on my face thinking maybe I should have done it. Now I feel embarassed.

*Ding*

Next morning I woke up of the sound from my notification. I get annoyed in the morning because I know it is a text from one of my candidates sometimes. I sat up and looking for my phone.

I lift my phone up closer to my faces and read the text. "Oh it is from Shaon." Shaon is one of my colleagues who I always chatted about work. I opened my eyes even wider see there is a new text after Shaon.

"Unknown number? Who is this then?" I looked closely might I remember the last number of my candidates but I never recognize. 

'Good morning' I looked at  the chat from that unknow person. 

I go opened it and see who is the person. When I looked at the profile it was him. I can't believed my eyes. 

"He texted?" I smiled and still feels like a dream to me. "Is this even real?" I looked at my phone again and thought about it if it was a dream. 

I respond to him. "Good morning to you too. You finally text me" I smiled and pressed sent.

I cannot stopped myself from smiling and my cheek are hurts. I went to shower getting ready and all because I need to go to work as well. I had done my make up and all then off to work we are. 

It is been few days had pass and we still contacted each other everyday feels like we are getting closer. I was busy with working until *ding*. I looked at my phone and opened the message. 

'I have arrived'

I smiled and replied to him 'alright take care'. I continued doing my work as usual and go on with my day. He haven't texted since I know he might be busy with his family since it is been awhile he haven't spending his time with his family at his hometown.

I get all my files and complied everything with the work I'd done. "You have been smiling and energetic all day? what is the story here that I don't know?" I looked at Sammy and questioned her back. "What do you mean? this is me you see everyday." I looked away at the files and continued respond to her. "I don't even know what you mean" I smiled and just brush it off.

"Oh really?" I nodded without looking at her. 

"I love how you always smile Celine but today it is sooo weird since a few days ago you were so unenergetic and even your bare faces seems like you go through husband dying situation." I scoffed and looked at her. "Today is a bit different, you know"

"Now instead you arguing with my smiles, how about you continue your work since you have not finish your work since this morning" She surprised shocking face got me every time. "Ooh shit! I forgot to follow up my candidates for today's interview" she started doing her work.

"Should have less staring at my smiles, more follow up" I laughed at her and she gave me a smack in the arm. 

*ding*

I heard my notification again so I picked up my phone up quickly before she check it out. 

*One view picture*

"A picture?" I pressed opened and I smiled while looking at the picture. He sent me a picture of him and his 2 cuties niece. I stared at the photo too long until I did not realized that Sammy is already looking at it beside me. 

"So that is the reason why you smiling a lot" she smirking at me and I quickly hit her on her arm. "Shh you blow my cover" she laughed and nodded. "Okay smarty pants"

I laughed a bit and looked at the picture again. "cute"

We spent a lot of time together on chat talking and finally at home. 

'Hey I'm off to bed now, you should get some rest.' - Celine (seen)

'Alright talk to you tomorrow?' - Charleston (seen)

'Yeah talk to you tomorrow. Good night.' - Celine (seen)

I looked at the text he sent me and I was feeling giddy all over me. "This is not a dream is it?" I am surely I smacked myself in the head knowing that this is not a dream but a real life. I feel happy all of sudden and just slept with my biggest smiled on my face.

"I wish this will never gonna end" I said after I closed my eyes.
