Aiden stormed towards Rowan, determined.
"Rowan, why did you betray me?" Aiden demanded.
Rowan's expression turned grim.
"Aiden, it's not what you think," Rowan said.
But Aiden wouldn't listen.
"You lied to me! You're working with Kealin!" Aiden accused.
Rowan's eyes flashed.
"No, Aiden! I'm protecting you!"
The illusion deepened, twisting Rowan's words.
Aiden's anger boiled over.
"I don't believe you!" Aiden shouted.
Benji intervened.
"Aiden, stop! Think this through!"
But Aiden pushed Benji aside.
"I'll handle this myself."
Aiden charged at Rowan, fists clenched.
Rowan stood firm, ready to defend himself.
Just as Aiden attacked, the dark sorcerer appeared.
"Perfect timing," the sorcerer sneered.
The sorcerer unleashed a dark blast, striking Rowan.
Aiden's eyes widened.
"Rowan!" Aiden screamed.
Rowan fell, wounded.
Aiden's world crumbled.
Had he made a terrible mistake?
Kealin Vex emerged from the shadows.
"Aiden, you've made the right choice," Kealin said.
Aiden's heart sank.
What had he done?
