Aiden's eyes locked onto Kealin Vex.
"No! What have I done?" Aiden cried.
Kealin sneered.
"You've joined the winning side, Aiden."
Aiden's gaze fell upon Rowan's wounded form.
"Rowan! No!" Aiden screamed.
Benji rushed to Rowan's side.
"Aiden, snap out of it! This isn't you!" Benji pleaded.
Aiden's mind reeled.
The illusion shattered, revealing the truth.
Rowan had been protecting him all along.
Aiden's heart swelled with regret.
"Rowan, I'm sorry! I was blinded!" Aiden cried.
Rowan's weak smile reassured Aiden.
"I knew you'd see the truth, Aiden."
Kealin Vex snarled.
"Fools! You'll never defeat me!"
With newfound determination, Aiden stood.
"I won't let you hurt anyone, Kealin!" Aiden declared.
Rowan struggled to stand.
"Together, we'll stop Kealin," Rowan said.
Benji nodded.
"We're with you, Aiden."
The battle lines were drawn.
Aiden, Rowan, and Benji prepared to face Kealin Vex.
